I wonder if we'll see a big name announce their graduation before the day comes.
I can't really conceive the idea of Tokyo Dome without someone leaving lol

It's fun that fans will get to decide the title of the dome tour. Hmm, they couldn't get the weekend schedule so it falls on a weekday. Still, I'm looking forward to it.

More reason to have a big graduation there to bring people who wouldn't even bother otherwise.:^^;:

    I have a question!
How would I apply to get tickets to the concerts if I'm from the UK?
As far as I can work out it's an application process through the online ticket place, except you can't register Non-Japanese addresses anymore!
I was coincidentally already in Tokyo at the time and this would be an awesome end to the adventure, any help is appreciated guys :D

You need to set up a Group Ticket Center account (same type that is used for theater shows). It will require a Japanese address (but as long as you don't have the tickets delivered, it's really just a placeholder). Full instructions on setting up a Ticket Center account can be found in this thread (and you should ask any additional questions about the process there)
    http://stage48.net/forum/index.php?threads/seeing-akb48-shows-toc-at-first-post.2765/

One note: Last year they offered Super Enpou for the Tokyo Dome shows, not sure if they'll do it again this year. But that may be another route (though it won't be announced for a while if they do)

My uni courses don't start back until late-August… I could totally go, if I had the money T_T

The flight would cost more than $2000…. I just checked… :(

Can't wait for the solo/unit performances of this year's sounsenkyo senbatsu. I hope Yui performs her own song this time unlike last year with Itoshisa no Accel. I wonder what will Aya and Sakura perform? Kawaei will probably sing Haste to Waste.

There's no guarantee that they'll repeat the same format but it would be kind of nice if they did.

I could see Sakura doing Seifuku no Bambi, perhaps with Nakomiku as backup.

As for Aya I'd imagine she'd do Wimbledon e Tsureteitte, that would make for a nice gimmick if she'd smack some signed plastic balls out into the crowd with a tennis racket

Probably no repeats of formats I guess.
Sakura could pull off Soredemo Suki da yo, or Rappa Renshuuchuu. Aya.. Any of her unit songs maybe? Ikoma could do her own solo song, and Yui her U-CAN CM thing.

.. That's if they stick to the old format. Because there'll certainly be a lot of naysayers complaining about the exposure of the same few girls over and over again..

I was hoping for the solo-corner as well, but I guess there's no use since there's no reason why we should expect the same thing again.

I think last year's DVD release of the dome tour was easily the best concert release I've ever seen. The package was grandiose, and there was enough footage to keep one occupied for weeks! The unit disc was my favorite, because I got to see tracks that I otherwise wouldn't have seen on a DVD release! I felt spoiled.

For some reason, since there aren't any high profile graduations associated with this one, I'm not anticipating such a grand package. I mean, it's not a tour. but at least it's less of a juggernaut to take in like last year's.

I'm quite certain that Yagi and Mocchi will get the shaft. But they can't keep denying Tomu, because she's a force to be reckoned with.

My highlights from last year were Team K's "UZA," performance, Paruru/Yuria/Rion's Kuroi Tenshi, Paruru's solo of Eien Pressure, and the Iriyama-centere Iiwake Maybe. Even though Tomu and Mocchi were basically not even there, it was still nice to get some unique surprises.

The thing is, that format (sousenkyo senbatsu performing individually in reverse ranking order) was already done before last year. So last year was just a repeat. I remember when Yuko won (2nd election), the media senbatsu were given a solo perf.

Having a lot of first time senbatsu this time around, it would be nice if they do it this year.

I wanna know what Sakura and Aya sound like :p I've heard them in stages, but stage vocals always sound so sterile because of the acoustics and the fact that they're usually lip-synced or half-assed.

Though lip-syncing is probably going to be popular anyway :p

Why would they do this on a weekday? And, oh no, it's going to happen while I'm on a cruise ship to Alaska, a potential (up to) nine-day downtime from S48 forum... (my cruise is from the 16th through the 23rd)

My hopes for these concerts (yes I know some are wildly unrealistic!)

The three musketeers are in units individually, i.e. not just a unit with the three of them. They are great but they are good at different song types.
Okada Nana does Itoshisa no Accel. That would be so awesome!
Any draftee is in a unit somewhere. Preferably the Team K girls but I'm happy with any.
    Itoshiki Rival. Please?
No shuffles (except maybe kennins) or graduations or otherwise startling announcements that make people cry unless it's happy tears.
Jurina doesn't get injured or work herself to exhaustion and a hospital stay.
Nobody else gets injured or too exhausted either.
More live singing and less lip syncing. Really dance-y songs have an excuse, otherwise work on that tuning girls.
Team 4 do something that isn't really cute.
Team K do something that is really cute. Actually I'm struggling to imagine this!

I'll add more later if I think of more.

PREDICTION: They announce dates for new stages for all the Teams. Later these stages get postponed, then completely dropped with no further mention. Maybe one (probably Team H) actually gets made

@Lindsay I agree with the last two! I would like it if the teams went out of their "comfort zones" with this concert and did something totally out of the ordinary for them. Team A being crazy, Team K being cute, Team B being energetic, and Team 4 being really Idol-ly. It would make the performances a lot more interesting imo! [hehe]

I think one thing that would also be cool is seeing sister groups perform each others songs? Like, SKE singing Kitagawa Kenji, NMB singing Melon Juice, HKT singing River, AKB singing Mirai to Wa... :awesome:

Exactly @minaeshi . I know they each have their image, but a bit of variety would be nice. Maybe AKBingo would be the place for that kind of thing, just for fun.

New stage announcements! I can't believe I missed that off my list of hopes! Of course my hope would be that they then actually happened, before 2015 say...
