I legit don’t understand why you guys are saying it’s rigged for Naachan. Odaeri has another job that is obviously more superior to the contest so it’s not like she was pulled out without any reasoning

 

The winner should be given a chance to cover With my soul song. That's the best ugliest song every written.

 

Each one should sing the same five different songs, with different styles. But that would be boring to watch.

 

Too bad OdaEri is not in the running
But, team Eito is still going to be very strong contender. Especially with members like this:

Actually lots of nice songs being picked here. Also looking forward to Akashi Natsuko's picks and how well Yahagi Moeka does, considering she is being pushed as the future of AKB right now.

Nojima Kano
- I'd love to see her sing Harukaze for the first round and then sing a Disney song for the 2nd. That will be soooooo cute (which she is anyway)
- Technically I think she should be able to take on Harukaze and her voice is quite faithful to the original. Again, I think the emotions in the notes (especially at the bridge section) need to be really felt for her to progress

Naachan
- Did God or management pick her the songs to win? No wonder conspiracy theories abound
- I am sooo looking forward to her performances. No mishaps and unless someone pulls off some God-like performance, I think the odds of a Naachan win is very short

Akiyoshi Yuka
- She is my nominated dark horse running into the finals
- Husky voice for a husky song? Check. Sing while playing an instrument? Check
- Tough choice of which to pick as 1st song. I prefer Rainy Blue but with 366 nichi, she can showcase her guitar skills better. Hmmm...

OMG!!!!!! Toyanaga Aki is great! Nakajima Miyuki - Sora to Kimi no Aida ni is one of ther greatest song ever! this song is sound like military march =)

 

I’m personally excited for the songs mirurun and utada hatsuka picked! Having a hard time imagining mirurun sing hohoemi no bakudan right now tho. Churi has picked my favorite Anri song. Will it have live band? Because that would be amazing with a live band.

 

oh well. That's why I needed Marina to progress so her Awadama Fever would have woken me up after sitting through all these songs

Miyumiyu is a big Seiko Matsuda fan, how cute. All three of the songs she picked are hers.

Love how there's a Disney song again, and a few anisons (Naachan/K-ON, Moeka/Your Name, Mirurun/Yu Yu Hakusho, Honoka/Naruto Shippuden).

 

Perched for these performances. Naachan actually picked a HTT song sends me lol. Hope she saves it for the last round tho, I feel like a more known song is safer for her to sing first.

I'm glad that Endless Story and Ruriiro Chikyuu got their recognition, Both are amazing ballads. 8Yui songs choices really change my perception of her lol.

Miss Akiyoshi needs to be careful tho, 366 is HARD and Rainy Blue has been covered so many times (some are really good too) that I'm afraid people might compare her performance to other people's version.

Nattsu sis... She better pull it off, the falsetto part of that song is a challenge (there's a reason why that song is Miss Nakashima's most well-known song).

And yeah... Miru picking Hohoemi no Bakudan is the most unexpected twist.
