It will apparently include all singles that sold over a million copies in the first week. Type A to have 27 songs while Type B containing 22 songs (s).

Also announced at the handshake event was a 10th Anniversary Live in Tokyo on December 6th which will include graduates coming back apparently. Nice way to tie up their 10th anniversary.

So basically, it'll be a compilation in the same vein as Kamikyokutachi... but I'm curious about any new tracks that might come about..

Possibly a new version of Sakura no Hanabiratachi?

 

^ I won't be surprised if that happens, it's been 10 years since they first performed it at the theater after all! Although...an acapella version of it will still be great too.

Is this replacing the possible 42nd single or are they also going to include it in this album (à la NMB)? Or will they still release the 42nd single as its own separate thing?

^ That's what I meant by keeping the 42nd single separate. I can't imagine our wallets being happy with us buying an album and a single within the same time window though.

 

I'm guessing it will be like how they did back in 2012. 1830m came out on August 15th and Gingham Check came out 2 weeks later (on August 29th).

With this coming out on November 4th. I'm guessing AKB48's 42nd Single will be out on November 25th.

 

Oh yeah, I forgot that 1830m and Gingham Check were also released within the same month! I only bought 1830m at that time, but I'm planning to buy the single (if it's confirmed) AND the album this time, so I'll see how my wallet is after I buy them...

 

I hope they also release some kind of best coupling songs album or best C/W album. they really have pretty good b-side. it should be compiled

Releasing both album and single could bomb the sales for both no? Considering all those afford to keep the 1m streak alive. AKB isnt in their prime like in 2012.

 

I have had my doubts about Takamina centering the last single.. tbh I doubt they will release a single near to a album now... they arent selling like hotcakes nowadays..

Exactly , i doubt we'll get a 42nd single this year which means Takamina might not center a single this year like Rena and NANA

Remember when we had a discussion in Takamina's thread that she might not center a single this year ,back then i thought that was a silly thinking and that she's for sure going to get a center but right now after an album was announced , i am having doubts i guess we'll have to wait for the janken to see ....i hope she'll get to center

 

I don't think they can afford simultaneous album and single release within the same month. It's not like last time where general public interest is still high.
Takamina may have solo / center in the album new song.

If it's true that there won't be any more single this year, then I guess it's all going according to their plan to mass promote Halloween Night.

 

I can already hear my credit card screaming in my wallet, not least because I already have the SSK BD and Jurina's PB on order for the week after next. However on top of all that, the Yokohama 2-shot event in March falls within a window of opportunity for me to get time off work and to go ahead with a possible trip to Japan. If I do go ahead with that I wonder how many Theater editions I'll end up buying? Is there a society for the protection of cruelty to bank accounts?
