    Today at AKBINGO:

Yukirin, Shizuka, Nanami, Yuiyui, and Moeka are driving to the lighthouse where they recorded the original Aitakatta MV. I tried to make sense of the machine translation, but I am not so sure about the official title of the episode.

Looks like they think Yuiyui is garbage. [hehe]

MV is Generation Change performed in the studio by these members:

It's the 19 member from the preview image of the latest recording plus Shitao Miu so she actually was in the studio but couldn't participate in the actual episode it seems (wasn't on the cheat sheet of Fantasy Cameraman-san).

I think they're playing a game. It looks like they start with a budget of 30,000 Yen (probably for the BBQ next episode) and then depending on what they're doing it decreases or stays the same.
Although considering how fast they're losing their money it's either impossible to entirely keep it or they just plain suck at whatever tasks they need to do. :^^;:

Edit: Oh yeah, they're losing money when they speak politely.

The next two episodes are named "Break Down The Walls! Don't Use Polite Speech Tour!"... I guess? They don't shout out the name so I had to rely on google translate and the Japanese wiki article about "tameguchi". In this location shoot 5 members are going on a ride to strengthen the bonds between younger and older generations. They have a budget of 30,000 Yen, however whenever they use polite speech their budget is reduced by 500. So no useage of "hai", "desu", "masu", etc.
I totally didn't know that "hai" is considered polite speech.

As only five members participate in this recording, basically all streaks in 2019 are broken now. Only YuiYui is holding up that perfect attendance record. :1st:

Grammatically, it is (うん un is the tameguchi version). Realistically, it is used almost in all politeness level lol.

I know, right? Hai is used everywhere and all the time, so I just assumed it was just the normal way to say "yes" or to confirm something. Though, it has more meanings I assume.

Ah yeah, I remember "un". Didn't think that was an actual word and more like the English "mhm" while nodding, though. :^^;:

Wait until you know the tameguchi version of いいえ (meaning no), which is ううん (uun). You can see why most people don't use those lol

My casual talk of "no" in Japanese is "僕は嫌だ". Granted I don't speak Japanese but if I did I'd use that with friends all the time.

I'm a bit confused about Yukirin's hougen (around 9:30 mark). Did she mean people in Kagoshima say her name "Kasiwagi Yuki"? she said it's the intonation but that's the only different part I could hear.

The tone on the "gi" of Kashiwagi is different. The standard Japanese has medium tone, while the Kagoshima dialect has low tone.

You need a good ear for that, I couldn’t hear a difference last week. :^^;: Need to check again, now that I know what to look for.

Or you just happen to knows how Japanese dialect works lol. (It helped that my native language is tonal. And, no, I am not Chinese)
