Definitely a photographer/tech oriented event, rather than Idol oriented. As Moa pointed out her connection with the photographer from the prior Bass Magazine shoot, she must have made a lasting impression to receive an invitation for more exposure. This made me smile. Back in the Spring and early Summer of 2014, a series of special events were held at the theater that were unlike any others. On April 23rd this unique concept will be revived and hopefully continue as a monthly event just as they were in 2014. That's right, the legendary "Women's Festival", or in other words, "Girls Only Night" is back for 2017. If you've never seen an all female crowd getting loud and crazy, complete with headbanging, lifting and the usual fan chants,(albeit at a higher pitch), but just as loud, you may find this event highly entertaining. I certainly did. The 1 and only pitfall was the inability to carry Anna for the crowd surf. No worries, we'll get to see Anna's "Floor Surfing". A pair of fantastic tracks that seem to have been left for dead. First up is "OHHH*YEAHHH", the last of the PUREFUL tracks from Summer of 2013. A straight up rocker that would fit nicely into the Alice #10 repertoire and seemed to be devised for live performance via the call & response with the background vocals. All other PUREFUL tracks became A10/KJ staples, why not this one??? It's quite possible that it's gotten into the setlist on a rare occasion, but I can't recall ever seeing it performed live. Great track regardless. if the video does not show watch the video here Second is a smooth number from sub-unit "me-me", titled "MIRROR" circa early 2012. Recognizing that 2 of the "me-me" tracks got remixed into Armor Girl songs, this one sounds as if it could easily have been adopted into the Steam Girl rotation. Synth heavy and sultry. I have no doubt Kamiya & Co. could pull it off. Why this track, as well as "You are Addicted", remains buried, will be a mystery for me. I'll confess to being somewhat confused regarding this sub-unit, they had a 2nd generation formation and I've seen footage of them into 2015, but their association with Alice Project appears to be distant. A good looking crew for sure and their live performances were more of an "adult" nature. This is cool. On April 6th, a new concept/collaboration will be revealed, combining the Kamen Joshi classic "Super Adventure" with AI (Artificial Intelligence). The new song will be titled "Electric Adventure". The collaboration will utilize research and technology spearheaded by Tokyo University Professor Maki Sakamoto (now dubbed Professor Kamen) who is head of Electro-Communications Department. Her research on quantifying onomatopoeia and artificial intelligence will combine colors and images from the illustrations created by the members to generate new lyrics for the song. They say this is the first of its kind in the world and a CD of the new track will be presented to attendees of the event. Status of my AP Store order: After I griped calmly one last time, and told From Japan they should be contacting the AP store yet again, as it’s been 15 weeks total, From Japan actually called the AP Store for me and my missing item (which turned out to be the Kabota ‘16 Seitansai BD), miraculously came in... in less then 24 hours. How this possible, I don’t know, but I am relived. Whether someone from FJ went to pick it up, or they magically found it all of a sudden in the warehouse, or whatever other scenario is possible, they have my entire order, & I payed for the “check item” service, so whatever they send me, shouldn’t be wrong. Payed & should ship out by Friday. What a long journey this has been, I am hoping my next order with more recent items will be smooth again.
