OK. New stories today. Coming up on July 17th, Kamen Joshi will be the featured entertainers with the Saitama Astraia of the Japan Women's Baseball League. Part of the event (besides the game) will be a world record attempt at a 10,000 persons cap toss. Back in November of 2015 KJ created and performed the image song (Zenryoku Engine) for the Chiba Jets Basketball Team. Would be cool to create another song for the women's baseball. No stopping. From the last post referencing sports and songs, here is the full track of "Zenryoku Engine". The image song for the Chiba Jets basketball team. Not sure if anyone would put this one at the top of the list as a favorite, but a good song regardless. For the task at hand, it could have been way more roaring and upbeat like "Dai! Gyaku! Gyaku! Ten!", I noticed that this song/video never got posted on these pages, being only one of the two videos they produced in 2015, I would have guessed it would have appeared here at some point. I'm certainly not suggesting that this is a new discovery as most have heard/seen the track, but for the sake of posterity, it shall be enshrined henceforth. No worries, here we go. The image song for the Playstation Vita game "Net High" in which the premise revolves around false internet identities and exposing the pretenders. What better group to provide the soundtrack than one that hides their identity behind a mask. How apropos? A fantastic track with all the elements that define the Kamen Joshi experience. Super up tempo and thrashy, while simultaneously bouncy & poppy , along with a nifty guitar solo and a bit of shred underneath the final chorus. Nanaka & Yuki providing their trademark punch points interspersed between the melodies, throw in some "Wohhh Wohhh Wohhh's" and some "Yeah Yeah Yeah's" and you got yourself an instant classic for live audience participation. Ooops. Totally forgot about "Saikyo Summer". Content overload is the excuse I'm sticking with. A killer track/video that features the Alice #10 girls in bikinis headbanging on the beach. What could be better? One of the two "get your towels out and whip the crowd into frenzy" numbers that is always a favorite in the live set. Such a gnarly intro, one wonders, how could this even be an idol song? The seamless transition into a more traditional style and balancing the two ends of the spectrum is what defines them as quintessential Idol Metal. Lots of behind the scenes from the video shoot which appears to be during the onset of a Typhoon. Lots of on screen text that may confirm that, but it just looks like a bunch of squiggly lines to me. It's like some kind of code or foreign language. The video features a bunch of cute girls frolicking on the beach in bikinis, squeaky sandals, and horror movie "Jason" masks.
