Was kinda surprised that there hasnt been a Big Bang thread created. Now, I'm not the biggest fan, but I do have a moderate amount of knowledge about this korean boy group that is now trying to break into Japan. They debut in 2006, being somewhat successful. Their breakthrough into the mainstream came with the release of their 4th single 'Lies', which netted them many song of the year and group of the year awards. Btw, its an awesome song and I recommend those who havent listened to it to rush off to youtube. Ever since then, they've been venturing into Japan while keeping their foothold of success in Korea. Acchan likes Big Bang? I love Big Bang but I prefer them staying in Korea, their releases in Japan are worse than their korean releases.

I'm not a huge fan of Big Bang but I love their music and unique style! My favourite member is TOP, he is known in my heart for been one of the HOTTEST korean guy ever! He can be hot and dorky which makes my heart melt! My all time favourite songs are Haru Haru & LIES! There are quite a few VIPs in AKB48, I know Mariko loves G Dragon a lot! Umeda Ayaka, Sato Yukari, Maeda Atsuko, Kasai Tomomi, Takahashi Minami & Kitahara Rie all attended Big Bang's Electric Love tour.
Aww not much for BB here. Oh well. I don't keep up with their Korean music, but I do still love their Japanese stuff. and I kinda ship Mariko and GD even though it's never going to happen, haha.
Mariko is sure a huge G Dragon fan! Not sure did Acchan got these for Mariko when she was in Korea (or was it the other way round?!)
YEah I'm seeing all these K-pop discussion going on... BIG BANG is huge in Korea and several AKB members love them. Surprised how little recognition they get in this forum. I know Acchan likes anything that's not Japan so it doesn't mean a lot...lol, but I remember Takamina saw their concert, Mariko adores GD, and Sae wants to be BIG BANG! GD is the heart of this group, writing all their songs. I really like their original Japanese releases in addition to the Korean songs listed above.

Ok so I am totally getting this active again. They're my favourite Korean group - constantly at war with BTS now in my personal rankings but that is a whole other story!! VIPs have been waiting for over 1000 days for the group to return as a whole and release new material. 2013: Following the end of their world tour in January 2013, Big Bang took a break from group activities. Despite the fact they were no longer doing group activities, they were all actually quite active. Daesung released his first solo album 'D'scover' in Japan in February 2013. Seungri released his second solo EP 'Let's Talk About Love' in August 2013. if the video does not show watch the video here G-Dragon released his second solo album 'Coup d'Etat' in September 2013. if the video does not show watch the video here T.O.P released a single called 'Doom Dada'. He also performed in several domes. Taeyang released his second full album 'RISE' with the lead single being 'Eyes Nose Lips'. This spawned many MANY covers, from other YG artists such as AKMU and Epik High, as well as other idols. It also went on to win many awards. T.O.P starred in 'Tazza 2: The Hidden Card', which also gave Big Bang fans their long awaited glimpse of his continuously hidden physique. Seungri was involved in a car accident and out of the spotlight for several months. G-Dragon was rumoured to be dating Kiko, a Korean model and actress. He also collaborated with Taeyang on the above. This year, several statements were made about a supposed comeback. Nothing happened. 2015: Big Bang's comeback is supposed to happen in April/May. With no delays.
YG teased us with a countdown and then a giant explosion - of course it was Big Bang! Their comeback is due to start on 01 May 2015 with one track released on the first of each month following. FINALLY!!!

Also, Seungri is finally blonde! Which means every member has been blonde at some point in the group's history.
