also Hug Mii left the group on May 31th due to familial reasons. auditions were held to find new members, according to the rumours they might be introduced to the public during BiSH's appearance on Tokyo Idol Festival. still, it will be hard for her successor to succeed her... Hug Me gave her name to one of their songs after all :

Anyway... are that... somewhat kinder at video of them?

 

Went to see them in Kashiwa a couple of weeks ago, it was a great discovery.

 

Do tell me more! How was it like?

 

The venue was small, packed and quite hot. The crowd was really into it, singing, a bit of dancing but not so much as it was crowded and of course coordinated gestures and all.

The girls were great, one walked on the crowd at some point while singing and another one was carried back to the stage so I assume she just kind of jumped in there....

I didn't get anything from the MC parts, but the local fans seemed to enjoy the banter.

There were quite a few overseas fans in the crowd, we all were in Tokyo for Babymetal and went to see other shows. One got dragged on stage for a pretend beating, ending up shirtless.

At the end they were selling tickets a 500yens a pop for a photo / signature with the girls but there was quite a queue and by then I was beat and my feet were killing me. I headed back to my Airbnb in Akiba a short/long 30 minutes train ride from Kashiwa.

Those who stayed for the photo op enjoyed it.

 

KiLLER BiSH, their first major album, has been released on October 5.
at the same time a PV for Hontou Honki, written by new member Ayuni D, was posted on Youtube.

the whole album is available worldwide on ITunes. there's mixed reviews on it, some think of it as being too polished, too Avex-y - personally, I think it's their most solid album yet, with some really memorable tracks like Stairway to me, Am I FRENZY ??? and IDOL is Sh*T.

 

So Aina has now had her surgery and is recovering.

Main thought:
Finally!! The sound from their first album, the type of music made me fall for BiSH, is back! Promise the Star is incredible
Other thoughts:
- Theyre really setting up AyuniD in Hug Mii's place eh? She's in the third position in the group,,, feel a bit bad for Momokan since shes one of the ori members..
- Ling Ling!! Those pigtails are insane!!! Lol!!!! Love them!

 

After hearing the B side, I really like they way BiSH is mixing the hard and the soft, it's nice to see a group not getting trapped inside a very narrowly defined box musically.

Ayuni D has really improved vocally and earned that 3rd spot left vacant by Hug Mii, she's not to the level of the Goddess Aina or Demi-Goddess Chitti, but definitely a step above Gumi, Ling Ling and Atsko.

I don't think Gumi gives a rats ass about her position in the group so long as that position is in the group, same goes for Ling Ling. Atsko might be a bit perturbed by it, but what's she gonna do?

This is the most Aina and friends song that's been given a video by BiSH, I'm a little surprised by that. Looking at "Orchestra" Aina got the big emotional part, but Chtti opened and closed the song. I get wanting to give Aina a showpiece post surgery, but I don't want this to become the norm. Aina is #1, but Chitti is #1a and deserves her place in the spotlight too.
