Reinstalling Takamina as Team A Captian is a bad sign still no moving on from the old gen... Nakamura Mariko Team A Captian while Takamina is still around would have been good (not like she is going to be there alot).

Maachun fully transferd to Team B i like that alot!

Kizaki Yuria full transfer is not a surprise as she said she wanted to move to Tokyo in the future to persuie her path in the entertainment industrie
also her name was on "The SKE Graduation List".

Sae Captain Cuncurrent with SNH yeah i also think its a joke.

Airi will be groping Nana again...

Akane is probably graduating soon.

Team E looks super interesting!

Umeda Ayaka talent is wasted as B2 Vice Captain... K4 or T Captain would have been good.

A lot kennin positions... managment has sucked at organising the few that already existed, well let us see how it plays out.

Well. I was so excited for this event and then it all went horribly wrong when they got to SKE.

Major props to the fans who streamed the audio for us...whoever and wherever you are, THANK YOU!

The Good

Shinobu's "promotion" was adorable. The girls and fans seem to so dearly love this woman and with her hard work I think she deserves ALL THE PROMOTIONS! Although her poor hubby-to-be Shiba got demoted!

Kaotan as KKS overlord is pretty great.

Takashima Yurina moving to my favorite group! She's such a great performer and a hilarious MC. SKE's definitely going to need that. Especially now. Ditto with Tanaka "Boss" Natsumi, my lone favorite HKT member, getting a kennin position with SKE. Awesome!

Yui and Rie as captain and co-captain of K makes perfect sense and is definitely good for the team. I'm also happy Moe finally got onto her dream team, and Tano is awesome.

We all saw Yuria's transfer coming, but I don't think any of us thought she'd be made a co-captain. I'll miss her in SKE but I'm glad she's getting what she wanted!

Aritan finally got promoted, yay! Airin and Akarin as captains is great and I've really come to like Minarun in SKE so I hope she's happy to stay.

The Bad

TOO MANY CONCURRENCIES. I was really hoping this shuffle would feature only full transfers. The kennins were fun for awhile, but at the end of the day they don't really do much for the team or girls besides stretch them thin.

Team K deserved a bit more, I think. I find it odd that they not only left Jurina's kennin (I thought for sure it would be cancelled and she'd be SKE only) but they tacked on Sayanee as well. I'm not sure how the new Team K post-Yuko is going to build its own identity with the two biggest-name concurrent members of any group. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Team 4 didn't get...dispersed as much as I was hoping for. I'd really have loved to see Naachan or Mogi in K. I was also hoping for some big changes to HKT that might inspire me to pay more attention to the group, but it looks like that won't be happening.

Maachun's transfer is a huge loss for NMB, and I'm sure she and Sayanee are going to severely miss performing in the theater together. They were always hilarious together.

Churi having her captaincy removed and being given a kennin position in BII makes me worry that, if those graduation predictions were wrong before, they'll soon be proved right.

The Ugly


SKE48. Obviously, as an SKE-oshi I'm biased. Going into this I thought SKE had the strongest group with the strongest sense of unity, needing the least amount of 'help' from the shuffle. So, naturally, it winds up becoming the group with the most dramatic changes.

Team S is kind of batshit insane right now. Sae becoming a concurrent captain is a weird move, and part of me worries she'll get pissy and turn it down like she did with K, although I know she's at least been able to perform with SNH so maybe her 'goal' there has been met. I love Neesan, but at 27, I highly doubt she's got much time left in the group (I really expected her and Akisun to graduate this year) so I'm just kind of bummed that Nishishi, the member that almost everyone in SKE looks up to and depends on, was replaced after such a short run as captain. I'm no fan of Iwata Karen but I hope she takes this transfer on with a more positive attitude than she usually exhibits. And Milky in S is just so very, very strange.

Well, in any case, it should be an interesting year. The March single releases will be kind of awkward now.

 

Hm, before we continue:

Can we please stop to pretend that Sae was doing anything of note with SNH48?

Also, Sae already accepted her new appointment on g+. She won't turn down, before you speculate.

I am obviously excited about my oshimen being allowed to restart within JPN48. Unfortunately, she is already getting some hate be disappointed SKE ota, who are feeling bad with the obvious bad luck of Nakanishi.
But blaming it on the new girl is like :facepalm:, really. I am sure Sae will be doing a great job with all her might. Don't underestimate her strength of mind.
Anyway, there is no member deserving a captaincy more than Sae is. I am glad, management finally approves. Now, all members of Team K Trio have been captains, all by themselves.
Why are SKE's captains called leader?

Some thoughts:

- Yukirin being concurrent is strange. Solo career and stuff.
- If Sayanee is going to have more theater gigs in Akihabara than Jurina, i would be very surprised.
- Transferring Yui to K makes sense, but couldnt they find anyone else than tkmn for captaincy?
- Mayuyu and Paruru exchanging teams. Ppl say that JPN48's center should be from A. Is this a statement by AKS?
- No transfer to SNH. I am happy no member was subjected to that special treatment. Not because SNH is a bad group, but because the regulatories can not be dealt with on a lasting basis.
- Chicarina to JKT, and audience was silenced. Sad.

Hold your horses with the corrections. I'm going by the official site, which is itself missing a few things and far less comprehensive. Not to mention I was at the event myself, so I didn't exactly have too much time typing this mother of a post.

 

Why in the hell is Jurina STILL in SKE48? She has no other things to prove in SKE48 and I was hoping she would have a full transfer. Instead, it's the same old, same old. SKE48 has gotta grow as well.

I do like the concurrent positions that aren't just AKB48 and SKE48, NMB48 or HKT48. I like to see how those will work out.

Was really surpised on some of the AKB48 members becoming full members of SKE48 or NMB48. I knew Oba and Miorin would become full members of SKE48 (Oba) and NMB48 (Miroin). But ones like Umeda, Suuchan, Fujie, Sae. I didn't see coming. Sae being a mentor to SKE48 Team S would help that team and SKE48 grow as a group (Cause they gotta move on from Jurina sooner or later). Same with Umeda for NMB48.

Why did they swap Mayuyu and Paruru? Those two were fine just where they are. Yeah it's nice to see MaYuki. But you could have moved Yukirin to Team A you know. I hope AKi-P knows that Paruru isn't going to be #1 in the election this year. So that's why this move makes me a little dumbfounded. I worry that the next time they do this will have Jurina move to Team A (while probably still in SKE48) and Paruru move to Team K. I'm not mad about Mayuyu being back in Team B or anything and I will still support her regardless. Honestly, Team B is the best team now. (Mayuyu, Yukirin, Owada, Juri, Kuramochi, Hillary, Aki)

Yukirin in NMB48 and AKB48 is kind of a headscratcher. Don't see why she is in there.

Team K is still a joke. I thought this would have helped them. Instead it's the same Team K that needs help. There is only two senbatsu members from that group now. (Yui and Mako) Rie will be for the 36th single. But what about the future? Yamamoto and Jurina will barley be there for Team K with them being at their other teams.

I am glad Team 4 is still around and Miichan is still captain. I'm guessing next time they do this, she will move to Team A like Kojiharu did.

 

I'm sad to see Maachun out of NMB. I thought she really fit the mold there with her comedy skills, being in Kansai and all. Oh well.

And Sae as new S captain just seems a bit off... it hasn't been that long since she basically abandoned ship on AKB to commit herself to SNH. I can't imagine SKE fans feel very good about this.

On the other hand, so awesome to see Dasu getting some recognition as captain for E

My thoughts

Why make Takamina to be captain again when she is the soukantoku already.
Sakura kennin was surprise for me.
Paruru image doesn't fit in Team A to me.

Kinda expected that if yuihan was transferred she still will be captain. Kitarie as vice captain I'm ok with it though I still hope that haruu will be the one.
Sayaka kennin is alright for me since she has the team K look with Jurina

I was hoping that Yukirin will be captain once again. But I guess her kennin with team N will make her even more busy.
Mayukirin are together!!!

Team 4 are full of new gen.

Sae became Captain!?!?! Will she reject?
Milky and Karen my 2 bias are in this team.

I guess that all for me now......

 

I think this shuffle is great overall. Moving so much AKB girls to SKE is a genius move, I always found SKE to be the most boring group with the most uninteresting members. Now my interest is high as hell thanks to Karen, Ranran, Milky, Suuchan, Boss and Sae! And what a great way to bring back Sae to Japan without her stealing back her spot in AKB senbatsu. She'll be in SKE senbatsu and get the exposure she deserves, it's not as if her activities with SNH won't leave her time to do so...

I love that Kikuchi's been transferred to NMB, I think she suits the group, and she might make it in senbatsu. Murashige kennin in N sounds like a good idea, I hope she will benefit from it and become more popular.

Nattsun is now in A, where she belongs, I couldn't be happier. I hope she'll get more exposure than she had in B, and maybe a nice unit when TA new stage finally comes ? Oh and talking about stage units, I foresee a nice Sayanee × Yuihan in K7.

I'm glad about Chiyori's transfer to AKB if she gets more exposure. Otherwise, if it wasn't a personal choice of hers, I think this is the worst outcome out of this shuffle.

 

According to Twitter Suuchan was very shocked about her transfer. I wonder if they would cancelled it if she complain? It would be a very bad reputation if she graduate in protest.

But I'm satisfied about Akichas position. Team B, also named Team Watanabe Prod., seems to be a cosy place for her and the others.

 

I don´t think anyone is trying to take a jab at you. Thanks for the hard work [clap] .

I personaly think that Concurencies for Captains are a bad idea as is commuting between Shanghai and Nagoya, thats all.

I think she is an incredeble enrichment for T4 and this way she won´t leave the group. win/win

 

I think most of her work now will be with SKE, she doesn't really have anything to do in Shanghai these days.

 

This was fun! Actually being more distant from the group now finally made a shuffle enjoyable. Although it's really weird.

1. Paruru in A is nothing surprising at all, looks like she is going to be the next center after all
2. Takamina as A captain is ridiculous, Komari could've done a great job herself
3. Nao in A? Come on.
4. Ricchan still in A, I'm kind of sick of these stupid shuffles that don't actually change anything at all.
5. Yuihan back to K! YAY! That's where she belongs and I'm super happy she gets to still be a captain!
6. Kojimako to K is fantastic. Finally a girl who could potentially become a frontgirl of the new gen in K.
7. Conversely, does moving Tomu to A means she's FINALLY going to get some push? I hope so.
8. Objectively speaking, Jurina and Sayanee being both in K is ridiculous, and they'll probably only be there like 5 times, but subjectively HELL YESSSSSS 2 of my favorite members in K with my oshi Yui? Screw everything else 48, Team K is back on top for me.
9. Haruppi in K? That sounds like they didn't really know what to do with K's tremendous lack of popularity and push in its previous incarnations, but stacking the kennin's of the frontgirls all there doesn't sound like a proper answer.
10. Kana, Myao, Miicha, Harukyan... I really hope Team K is handled better this time. Management should realize that a Team's popularity doesn't only depend on the girls but on the chances they are given
11. Mayuki back together is great!
12. Yay! Mocchi Team B captain! Akimoto K's legacy continues!
13. Kusogaki overload, but I like it. I hope they build Team B's image properly around them instead of the mess that was Umeda Team K image wise.
14. Mio fits perfectly in B.
15. NO to Maachun permanent transfer. That's crazy and it makes no sense. Poor girl.
16. Naanya in B! Say hello to the new front girl! I wanted her in K, but realistically, she wouldn't have fit there at all lol

SKE:
1. Sae captain! That's good, but I kind of wish she put all the SNH thing behind her because it obviously never worked out, so I hope she stays in SKE permanently.
2. Iwata Karen in S? That's super weird. But I hope she can get more chances there, she's a great singer.
3. Raran will certainly make use of her position in S, whatever it is. She's amazing, and I never understood why she never quite caught on as a really popular member.
4. Milky in S. Can we take a few minutes to mourn for poor Milky? She's been moved around everywhere, she must be so exhausted.
5. Yes to Airin captain, she's amazing and will do a great job
6. Hope Yukko doesn't graduate.
7. Nana will be a great addition to the team!
8. Akarin as leader is weird, but I guess it works
9. Lots of Ori-E back where they belong
10. That Rena thing... I don't even understand what's the point. Why ruin Nogi's senbatsu adding another member from a different group? On the flip side, more Rena exposure and less work, since AFAIK Nogizaka doesn't have a theater.

NMB
1. Ayarin will be great here! Happy for her!
2. Not so happy about Keira being moved from M though...
3. YASSS to Nana captaincy! She's the best!
4. Poor Reinyan, her standing in AKB wasn't even bad so I undertand how mortified she must feel...
5. Not happy with Milky taking Shu's spotlight even though I adore Milky and she's my waifu. Oh well, collateral shuffle damage.

HKT

I don't even know them well enough to comment on this lol. Glad for Lovetan!

Maybe I'm in the minority for this, but I think every team came out a bit stronger.

All the teams have distinct personalities now. You have A, K, and B all regaining their old personas, the SKE teams being more SKE-like (when they first debuted as the "energetic" and "ouen" type), and NMB with stronger overall teams. I don't think the groups themselves were too hurt by this.

What I am disappointed about was the Nishishi demotion (WHY?!!) and the fact that Jurina is still going to be overworked as heck. But oh well double Juri exposure!! I still don't get the Neesan VC role, and couldn't they have moved Nishishi as more of a "GM" role (a la Sasshiko or Takamina?)

I'm also disappointed by the lack of additional GM roles, namely Sayanee and Sasshiko

 

As always, had a blast chatting with people on IRC during the event.

Big changes were made (and this was totally worth waking up so early for), but I can't help but feel a little bit disappointed. After all the hype, I was thinking they would make changes to the structure of the group. Something like changing the Team system, or getting rid of the KKS position in favor of the draft thing, or things like that. In the end it turned out to be an ordinary shuffle, just bigger.
