First of all, I'm so happy to see the forum and site back up and running again!

We are back with a new issue, this time the fanzine focuses on the music part of the 48 groups. I hope you like the new layout for the cover, foreword and table of contents page.

Had a lot of fun designing it, and again, @donjonnie and @otabe were great help. It was also fun to have a new section for the fanzine from my fellow Swede Frida aka. @Yumenotobiira!

You can read it on dothedancefanzine.blogspot.com

Finally got a weekend free to read it and I thought it was fantastic, just as good as issue one. Really looking forward to issue three when I get some spare time (I'm on holiday early in September so think I'll save it for then, to savour fully :)).

Really appreciate the focus on the 17th and 18th generations as it's helped me put some names to faces; it reminds me of when I first got into AKB 12 years ago and I was trying to figure out who everyone was [hehe]

Some thoughts/suggestions for future issues/articles (with apologies if any of these are already in issue three ;)):
    • Retro on the variety shows of the past (AKBingo, Bimyo, etc.)
    • Retro on the drama shows (Majisuka, Horror Night, Crows Blood, etc).
    • History of the Sousenkyo (will we ever see it return!!)
    • History of the Janken Taigai
    • Scandals (not just Minegishi's [hehe]) and controversies
    • Focus on forgotten/overlooked past members (like the wonderful piece on Meetan in issue one)

I'm so happy to hear that David! By then you can probably read issue 4 as well, since I'm working on it right now (but after that I HAVE to take a longer break) :)

That's what I was hopeing for, and wanted with the NEW SHIP section. Maybe the older gens gets less recognition though. But I felt this part of the fanzine was important to introduce them. It was the first part I started with in issue 01 to be honest. I'm still trying to learn all the names... it goes slowly. Especially since I have learned so many of the past members names over the past 5 years. It's nice to hear this from a person who have been in this fandom for such long time :)

Haha, this is pretty much what's issue 03 is about. Not all the shows, obviously, but I talk about some of them in my article Thank you Mikichan. And we have a feature on NMB48 Geinin, so some retro variety. And they will come back in future issues as well. I will probably write some more about it at least :) Next issue will also feature the article Takamina VS Variety Shows which TLW-48 have written.

Newer dramas in issue 03 as well. But I'm planning on doing a horror special around Helloween/winter, where we feature a lot of all the horror shows from the 48G's. I also want to do a Majisuka and Majimuri special someday, since that was the first drama I saw with them. And as a big wrestling fan I also love Tofu Pro Wrestling and want to do a review of that, and the real wrestling matches some of the girls participated in.

The rest I have to find people help me write, even though I can probably research about some of the themes myself and write something. I asked contributor Far East to write about the NGT controversies, but I totally understand that he didn't want to touch it. Since the NGT fans have worked hard on to help the group get established again. But it's something I would like to read too. You at least had two small articles about the Janken in the first issue :)

I'm so happy to have found that post about Meetan on reddit, since I also love that piece. I could probably think of a few names I could do something with at least.

Thanks for the comment, I was looking forward to it but thought you maybe forgot. But now I know that you will read the next issue on your holiday :)

Finally got some time to give my feedback on issue three :)

Easily my favourite issue so far as I loved the retrospectives on all the past TV shows.

I especially loved the piece on NMB48 Geinin!.....I've not watched it for far too long, so since I'll be recuperating from a minor operation at the start of next month, it's given me a good prompt to binge watch all three series and both movies ;) Plus I'll also get caught up on issue four.

Still mightily impressed by the high standard.....thanks again to everyone for all the hard work that has gone into these :1st:

    Thanks for the feedback @David B !

Oh, nice - that probably means you liked my article Thank you Mikichan, as well, hehe.

I agree, it was a really fun and informative article (Guga will do a retrospective on the SKE48 Ebi shows too in an upcoming issue, so look forward to that).
I had a blast designing and taking all the screenshots for the article, heavy focus on my oshis Sayanee and Milky :)

Have fun rewatching the show and movies, and good luck with your operation!
