With all the talk about Twitter and everything, has it been confirmed that they won't be showing it live on TV, like previously speculated? If so, I am very sad, because it's the one quarter I'm done with finals already and I even roped in a Japanese friend who normally doesn't care too much about AKB48 to watch it with me, if it airs.

^ we still dont know. probably not. we'll find out soon anyway whenever they announce that or the movie theater screening they do for these events.

i don't even know which one to believe, because its not like the online shops will fake information and give a fake date -_-. can someone ask toga-chan in twitter or something?

I dunno... someone here (or on twitter? Sorry I forgot who ><) noticed that the event actually takes place during NaruHai's time slot, and according to previous gossip it was NTV (where NaruHai airs) that was supposed to air it live... So there MIGHT be a chance. On the other hand, it's less than one month, I think they would have announced it... so there's still hope, but I wouldn't actually place a bet on it :/ Let's keep our fingers crossed.

If that was the case, surely they would have announced it. No publication on TV and no one will know so not good ratings I guess. Naruhodo doesn't have very high ratings for time slots I think... and are pre-recorded in advance (presuming...) so it will probably still cover time slot. We can hope!

FML. The one thing I was looking forward to at the end of this quarter was that after finals I can revel in the excitement of watching an election live. Now there's nothing to anticipate. :angry: Twitter will be nice and worked out last year, but the excitement of watching it live cannot be replicated.

Finally decided to pre-order the single. 1st attempt at election voting, so I'm just hoping everything goes smoothly...

^ means that there will be some selected cinemas live broadcasting the event and you need to buy tickets for it. If there is a live TV coverage, there is no point of making the movie theater screening because people can watch this for free =(

bah, all hopes for TV are gone. Oh well, just means we will have to be scouting twitter and these forums. Maybe on another documentary type DVD they will show some of it (or is that being too hopeful) XD

I'm sure it will happen, after all showing to the fans the brutality of their, often unwilling, competition is one of the main points of AKB... I cried SO MUCH watching last year's. I hate elections. Really. ;____;

It's one week to the start and three weeks to the results and I am already having stomachaches due to the tension. WHAT IS MY LIFE. DDDDD:

It is my first election voting, and I am mentally excited.

The documentary broke my heart to how cruel the votes can be, but I still look forward with pleasure XD

At least there is no mid ways results. As much as it does help some girls (my oshi included) it kinda unfair and heart breaking...
