This is great!! I won't be able to go, since I live in Colombia (unless a miracle happens), but I hope you guys living in Europe go there and show all your support to the girls
And the best thing is that Japan Expo, as previously said, is pretty big and, well, from what I heard, better organized than other conventions. A friend living in France said that it has no comparison with the american conventions. So the chances of it being cancelled at the very last moment are zero

I expect lots of regular, non otaku people among the crowd : D
That would make the group get some public recognition outside of the jpop fans scene.

Just kidding, but anyway, I'm very happy for the european fans! It's an awesome opportunity and I hope that all of you can enjoy every minute of it!

@kyobu: if you have a hana shirt, DEFINITELY wear it. it will probably give them a really good impression that you know the group very well. and, umm, weren't you introduced to some of the girls in team A during your 2shot with hana? i vaguely remember the part of your story when hana introduced you to some of the members (yukari?) saying "hey guys, this is my fan from UK"

if this does become a big S48 meet-up, pictures please :D

and to all you guys going to the event, try your best to arrange something so you can even just talk with the girls or at least let them see you after their performance, so they would recognize their fans from overseas. you have homecourt advantage, try to use that. i'm saying this cause if akb somehow decides to perform in my country (which will be in like 1000 years from now), i would definitely be pulling strings left and right, doing EVERYTHING i could to meet them after/before the performance, talk to them, do a handshake, etc.

don't be contented with just being an audience to the girls. do something special. :D people in this forum deserve a bit more from them.

I have a tshirt with GAO! on it in huge letters, that was SUPPOSED to be here just before I left for Japan, that I'd was going to wear in the 2shot, but it arrived a day after I left, grr. I wear it all the time, get some amazingly confused stares at my chest.

And I was! It was Yukari, Miichan and Nozofisu. Only problem is that I kind of look like a complete different person than I did then, so there'd be no chance they'd remember me without talking to them.

I'mma be looking into stuff once we get a conformation from AKB's end, we need to do something big as a forum.

OMG...if that were real, I'd so be there.

(I live south of Philly, and my hometown is in North Jersey, so it'd SOOO be doable for me to go. B-))

hmmmm.... I'm out of excuse for another Japan trip this year, but France might be Ok.... :D It would definitely be more expensive than going to Japan, but easier to get permission from my wife :D DAMN !!!! Now I just have to start to make arrangement for the financial part of it....

Looks like tomochin's gonna have european birthday party.... PAAAAARRRR TEEEEEE.....

EDIT: on a second thought... I can't even say "SAY HI TO KAORU FOR ME" to them since Kaoru isnot in AKB48 anymore :(

Woah! This is huge news! I'm betting that most of Team A will clear their calendars to make this event, as it's kind of a HUGE part in AKB48 history. Besides, don't you think that any of the girls would love to visit France?

I hope Team K visits Chicago...
