Q: Why did you audition for NGT48?
I used to love AKB48 very much and have always supported them, but as I live in Niigata, I felt that AKB48 was a distant presence in Tokyo. So I auditioned for the first term and that was my first chance.

Q: I'm very happy that there are opportunities outside of Tokyo.
I always liked idols, but I had the image that I had to leave Niigata if I wanted to be an idol, so it was a big deal to have a group in my hometown.
Unfortunately, I failed in the audition for the first term, but at that time I changed my mind from "I'm so disappointed" to "I'm going to make it! That's when I changed my mind from "I'm disappointed" to "I'm going to make it!
I kept waiting for my chance to join NGT48, and about two years later there was another audition call, so in the winter of my second year of high school I took up the challenge and joined NGT48.

Ms Fujisaki's enthusiasm and hard work paid off!
It was something I had always wanted to do, so I felt that my dream had finally come true.
Of course I was happy that my dream had come true, but I had no idea how my life and my life would change from now on, so I felt a bit flustered.

Q: How did your family and friends react?
Well, when I auditioned for the first term of NGT48, my family and friends knew for a long time that I wanted to become an idol, so they said, "You've finally achieved your dream! Congratulations!" I was so happy that they often congratulated me.

I was even happier when the people around me supported me.
I am still active in my hometown, so when I appear in programmes and newspapers in Niigata, people in the neighbourhood say to me, "I saw your programme! I still get a lot of support from people around me, and I really feel supported by the people around me.

Q: Did you pay attention to anything during the audition period?
My parents asked me, "You don't have to practise singing or dancing?" I didn't do anything, so much so that they said, "You don't have to practice singing or dancing?
(Laughs) What I was careful about was imagining what it would be like to be an idol, so I was careful not to have my photos on social media or in other places. (laughs)
I'm sorry, I'm not talking about body shape or dieting! (laughs)

Q: Have there been any difficulties since you joined NGT48?
I became an idol with no experience in singing and dancing, so I'm still really bad at dancing. When we practise together in front of the mirror in the lesson room or when we practise new songs, I feel that I learn the moves slower than the other girls around me, so I feel like I'm lagging behind them and dragging them down.

I felt like I was lagging behind everyone else. It's a wonderful performance that doesn't make you feel at all!
I often felt like I was dragging myself down in the lessons, so I try to review what I learn at home on the same day and make an effort not to drag myself down.
But I still have to put in a lot of energy every time I have a lesson, otherwise I can't do my best for a bit. (Laughs)

I wasn't confident in my singing and dancing then, and I'm still not confident now, but I love standing on stage and performing as an idol in front of my fans, so I enjoy the moments when I can show them my prettiest self in a cute outfit and hairstyle! The support of my fans is my driving force.

Q: What are some of the happy or good things that have happened to you during your idol career?
There are so many people I wouldn't have met if I hadn't been active as an idol.
Not only the fans who support me, but also the people I have met are of a completely different age and gender, so I don't think I would have met them if I had been living a normal life. I am really happy to have their support and encouragement.
Although I am an idol, I am not only singing and dancing, but I am also able to experience many other things, for example, I have tried my hand at acting, I have been allowed to appear as a model, and I think the range of my activities is wide and really attractive, so I am glad that I am an idol.
First of all, it's important to be willing to try.

Q: As a senior member, is there any advice you can give?
NGT48 has been allowed to challenge agriculture and has a wide range of activities among idols, some of which can only be done at NGT48, so if there are girls who think "I want to be an idol, but I wonder if I can be one...", then I would be happy to help them. If there are girls who are thinking "I want to be an idol but I wonder if I can be one", I think it is very important not to think "I am not suited for it", but to first try it and have confidence in yourself.
If you can create even a small part of yourself that makes you feel confident, even if just a little, like 'I'm going to practise my make-up' or 'I'm going to try to lose weight', you can naturally smile and feel positive, so I'd like you to try it first!

Q: What are you proud of about NGT48?
I think that our activities rooted in the local area, such as agricultural activities and developing collaborative menus with Niigata companies, are stronger than those of other groups. The generous cooperation from local people is an area that NGT48 can be proud of!

Q: You must be busy with your idol activities, but do you have time for yourself?
My idol activities don't have fixed hours, so I have a lot of private time. When I do, I go to cafés in Niigata, do some shopping and update my SNS.
Recently, there are more and more delicious cafés and fashionable shops that use Niigata ingredients, so going to cafés that are rooted in the local area is my boom.

Q:I heard that you also like camping.
I also like camping! My father and I often go camping together, and when our schedules allow, we consult with each other and go to a campsite in Niigata. I do everything from setting up the tent to cooking the food,
When I can't do it by myself, I ask for help.

Q:I see that you and your father are very close. You have a very nice relationship!
I do a lot of outdoor work as part of my NGT48 activities, and I have to do it all by myself, so my dad says, "I can't help you, you have to be able to do it on your own." My father says, "I can't help you, you have to be able to do it by yourself", so basically, I do everything! (laughs)

Q: - So even your hobbies are used in your work. Finally, what kind of woman do you want to become in the future?
Through my activities in NGT48, I've been able to challenge myself in many different ways, so I want to continue to take on challenges that will expand my own possibilities. I want to show the charm of Niigata to the rest of the country! I hope I can become a person who can contribute more to the people of Niigata!
