At least Tomu made the cut here.

And not really much of an NGT fan but I find Miharu an upgrade, representation wise over Moeka, so good for them.

And shouldn't they be pushing two STU48 members by now and not just Takino (I love her as face of the group though)?

JKT48 released their first original song.
    It is great news because:
-First original song for overseas sister group
    -Actually written by JKT48 members
    -Good song, good voices
    -Has some English lyrics

I had a bittersweet feeling yesterday. It was the first time I watched something related to AKB (AKBingo!) on the Catalan TV...but it was to criticize it... Besides, they pretended it was contemporary...but they used a very old episode from two years ago! :fp:

Not JKT, but a subunit. There's a difference.

And it hasn't been released but for that YouTube video, so for all we know they might not even put it up for sale.

I really doubt the international SG will release anything original.
AkiP can't write the lyrics, so he can only get money out of them covering his songs.

Well, nothing prevents him from writing a song and have it translated.
The translator would be paid only for the transcription / adaptation job, I don't think that person would get anything from the sales.

I feel like translating songs take away from the original meaning of the songs though (unless it’s one of those AkiP sexual fantasies love songs) since even if the translator don’t have to worry about making it flow, the producers will make changes if it doesn’t flow.

There have been a few exceptions like HKT's Koisuru Ribbon and Mocchi has written some lyrics for her solo iirc. I'd bet that there's a provision in members contracts that anything they create while a member the copyright goes to AKS. They may get a small increase in their monthly wage as compensation for the rights.

On Friday (October 12th) there'll be a special performance at the AKB48 theater:

Ichikawa Manami - Komiyama Haruka - Yumoto Ami ~K shou suru monotachi (市川愛美・込山榛香・湯本亜美 〜K承する者たち〜)
    Performing members are those three.

Don't know the situation in Japan, but here in the Netherlands, if you are a (fulltime) employee, IP belongs to your employer by default, unless you explicitly have a clause that you retain it in your contract. I would expect the situation in Japan to be the same.
(and even if you developed the idea in your own free time, if it's related to your line of work you'll probably run into problems trying to retain the rights to it)
