I was thinking that maybe the idea of creating this account was decided during the show? Since they record the show weeks earlier and it's supposed to be a show where they help AKB to become more popular, it's possible that they had this idea during the show... I guess we will know in the next weeks. Either way, making an account for the single with fun promo like this, it's a good idea! I hope that AKB can keep improving their promotion online.

Depend on your definition of fun. The buzz generated wasn't all positive --- there were a lot of negative reactions too, especially the swimsuit one. You can say that any buzz is good, but it really depend on your definition really.

Because if they ended up performing Koisuru Fortune Cookie on Ongaku no Hi on the 17th (AKB48 is already scheduled to perform)... THAT will definitely generate tons of (negative) buzz.

The more I think about it, the more I don't know what is to believe anymore.

The purpose of Uwasa is to confuse us. Of course, you don't know what to believe.

In this internet age, an idol group needs to make fans actively follow it, engage with it, hooked to it. It must regular feeds fans something to discuss, to talk about. Noise marketing, albeit annoying, is very effective hence super popular.

Due to COVID, an idol group has been barely active and fans are bored. Fans said he had spent more time with his family/lover and picked up his old hobby, he felt his life was good without the idol group, he thought he should have spent more time with his family/lover long ago. Some said he had moved on to another group that was more active online. Isn't this marketing nightmare for the idol group?

Umm.. what's your point? Do you think I don't know what usawa mean?

My point was that this has a chance of backfiring badly.

It's not very different from the accounts created for PBs promotion.
It's just made in another way.

What is that bad backfire? Can anything be worse than fans losing interest? Angry fans still follow the group. Uninterested fans are leaving the fandom.

I already said all about it in my original post. I am not going to bother anymore. You can also just check Japanese reaction on the original tweets.

The way I was so excited for us to have a two minute video to enjoy until September only to have it deleted not even a week after they aired the performance :)
