It's October, summer has ended.
After some years of dealing with the some internal and pandemic issues, I feel AKB48 (and AKB48G in general) is much more active this year's summer, with all the new single promos and releases, TV shows and performances, and concert/venue performances like @.JAM/SUMMER STATION/TIF.
Seeing the girls busy is really nostalgic of the old AKB48 that I remember.
What's really missing compared to the past for me are the big events (Sousenkyo, Janken, Sports Festival, etc), physical Handshakes and the fan chants.
With Japan fully opening up to tourism again in October, I hope AKB48 can also have more room to wiggle within the rules.

They've at least decided to return the theater to the full capacity of 250 people, starting Oct 10.

Details of 4 temporary AKB48 Cafes which will be open from mid-October until late November:

The cafes will be in Harajuku (Tokyo), Osaka, Nagoya and Hakata (location maps are at the bottom of the page along with opening hours). Reservations are required (price 660 JPY) which will start tomorrow. The cafes will have a menu with a theme of 12 of AKB48's singles.
