Sadly, I also think this is one of the reasons that there's not enough "spark" between JKT and japan48. Not much interaction between Jkt girls and other SG girls (nothing lasting and exciting). Every interaction and participation doesn't feel maxed out. I've felt luke there's just something lacking in JKT--perhaps it was that they were not passionate enough about the whole world of 48 and its culture, or that us audiences haven't been shown enough of it.
I could feel they are working hard to give the best performance. But somehow, it's not enough bite :/
Or as Mad Dog used to say, "kurang greget".

 

The main root is that, imo. Most of sg or akb new gens ACTUALLY know about AKBGroup when they were auditioning (e.g went to theatre (Amina and she didn't even new gens), did handshake with members (Nako and many others). So they have the basic. I couldn't say the same about JKT members esp. older gens. Last night I saw a post of Michelle on twitter about her first 2shoot with Melody but I thought that was it. She was interested in JKT, not AKBGroup in general. Not that I say it's a bad thing, though...

This explains JKT48. Melody is the original ace of JKT48, she grads, Shani will be new ace of JKT48 meanwhile Zara is future ace of JKT48. But I think Zara is like AKB48's Yuiyui, both are named future ace of their groups so they got huge push but they're overrated as hell. Meanwhile AKB48 actually has better names than Yuiyui to be future aces such as Seichan & Nagis and some names like Sayaya & Megu deserve better spots, JKT48 currently doesn't have younger member as powerful as Zara but it's expected for JKT48 6th gen to have a member that can be Zara's rival. Meanwhile JKT48 has some members to have a good competition with Shani, they're Yupi & Gracia, also Team KIII members.

 

They might be overrated, but their popularity justifies it. At least for YuiYui. Is Zara as popular in JKT48?

 

@MaiAkikoChan right now she's popular outside fandom, non fans probably know more about her than Kinal or Shania

Watched Sisca's solo gig last night. It was lit!

If you haven't seen Sisca singing solo, then you should. Seeing her live is better than on Youtube.

Hope that she'd get more solo job like this. I assume it has benefits for JKT48 that general people would like her, become JKT48 fans, oshiing her, voting her on sousenkyo, that's the profit.

Also, I hope she also gets a chance to be a single senbatsu someday.

 

I'm kinda hoping this year AKB ssk voting ballot will be included in JKT next single since they can participate y'know. Imagine how high the sale will be since they're much more cheaper compare to AKB's single lol.

 

Sisca got positive reviews when general people watching her live on Indomeicsgram Instagram Live. Some of them were asking how to buy theater tickets.

what's the occasion with JKT now can participate in sousenkyo?
Is ALL non JP sister group can apply if they want to?

 

Now, I know the reason why JKT's SSK isn't started yet. I think it's just for celebrating AKB48 10th SSK. I doubt they will allow them for joining again next year

Things that can be announced on Melody's grad concert & Dirimu Melody HS:

1. 19th single. Obviously.
2. Sousenkyo. Would JKT48 still have their own, or merged with AKB48 one? Just wait for the details.
3. 6th gen. BNK48 just revealed 2nd gen but still finalists. JKT48 is expected to reveal the final result of 6th gen audition next weekend, even they can debut on the concert.
4. New JKT48 GM replacing Melody. Who do you think? This is maybe a joke but some people said that new JKT48's GM is "The Queen".
5. Another concert that is joint concert with AKB48? If only Yuihan approves.
