Dunno, Pon still has a sort of stiffness in her moves and expressions that makes me always take a step back when I watch her performances, though I'm waiting for a quality step-up since the start and it comes only with experience.
This said, all the girls did well, I'm very impatient and positive about the next single

I, for one, glad she stiffed herself here before it became 720'. Hopefully she is given another experience after the rotation fest.

I find Kobayashi to be the weakest so far. But to be fair Suzumoto and Habu had experience in dancing, and the gap definitely shows. Maybe it is just the style that didn't suit her, becauise iirc she did well performing with Imaizumi, when they teamed up as temporary centre.
    But Uemura stole the show.

technique-wise she definitely is the weakest when compared to hirate, mon and habu..
her moves are not clean & her timing/count is off.. But, i really like her explosiveness and passion when she dances though.

Hmm, for me, Suzumoto made a bigger impact than Pon.

yeah she's not that good as a center, they choose Pon just cause she's more good looking and popular than others. I don't think she should deserve to center the next single. To me Suzumon is still the best, too bad she's not popular enough I guess.

    I disagree.
There's more to Pon than "popularity" whatever that means at this point since Risa or Neru could have had the center position as well if it's matter of being good looking and popular. She's talented and most important, she got the guts to back it up now, and even if in the past I didn't really like some choice she made, she definitely grew up and got better.
Like I said previously, she still needs to improve in my opinion and she lack Monta' skills... but that standard is not exactly easy to reach without proper training.
I won't mind to see her as center - finally - but there're a few members I would love to see also step up and let out all they got.

....why Suzumon is not more popular will remain one of Keyaki misteries I fear.

just in general, not relating to the recent performances, i always thought pon had one of the best expressions when dancing so I'm sure she would do fine~

Pon for me is one of member who has whole package. She has visual, popular and also talent. Just give her chance more next year.
But I agree with @radiohifi maybe the style of this song didn't suit her.
Yeah this is still one of the mysteries. But at least her performance as center on mste gave impact, and people want to know about her more.
