[GENERAL] The Sakurazaka46 / Keyakizaka46 Thread

Watanabe Rika was first to catch my attention in the group photo for being Maiyan-like (same as Yamaguchi Maho in NGT) but on closer inspection she looks nothing like her! Still like her though.

Also catching my attention were Uemura Rina, Imaizumi Yui and Habu Mizuho (she's so tall!)

22,000 is a big audition. Smaller than Nogizaka 1st gen but way bigger than NGT or last Draft Kaigi auditions which had 5,000-something auditionees if i'm not mistaken. Apparently a Nogizaka graduate auditioned and failed, which sucks if true.

 

^ No kidding! It looks like a winter wonderland with all of the lights.


I don't like the name change either, but we'll see. I'm interested in seeing how they'll compare to Nogi.

 

^It's only lit like that during the holidays (Artelligent Christmas). SMEJ is encroaching upon Asahi TV grounds.

 

Oh no wonder! It still looks beautiful regardless. I'm assuming this is the street during the rest of the year, or is this another holiday?

 

Illumination around Christmas time only. Probably one of the best illumination spots in the city. At the bottom of the hill is a huge Starbucks/book shop you can chill.

Huh, I thought they would light up year-round...but it makes sense that they would only light up during the Christmas season. Anyways, I'm definitely putting this place on my bucket list for Japan.

Not really since it's their name now. I like the fact they used the same debut date as Ngzk.

I see them pressing the button to illuminate the lights in their future.

 

Watanabe Rika is the one that caught my attention thus far too, for rest I think I'll reserve judgement. Looking on twitter it seems like Rika & Imaizumi Yui are generating the most interest thus far, at least in my circle of twitter users lol

On audition size, hmm earlier I heard near 40k, wonder where that number comes from lol. If it's almost 40k it's slightly larger than nogi 1st gen's almost 39k. I think 22k sounds about right tho lol

& I wonder who's the graduated they disqualified.. better not be Yukina!
