They all did an amazing job here!

..and yeah "Sheki needs to center again 3rd Gen" that's also a popular buzz feedback on this performance.

Yes please? Can someone check? I really hope it opens before October because I'll be back in the Philippines for a few weeks.

Can I ask whether AKS intervenes with HHE as claimed by @toughlove48 on Twitter? This is in connection with the way MNL lyrics are worded and pronounced, with the syllabication that is patterned after the Japanese lyrics. Because in my knowledge, HHE actually enjoys relative independence with the way they run MNL48, which is why the HHE/ ABS-style auditions, and evictions took place.

I don't even see the point why they are so against with the "Japanese accent." MNL is a sister-group, and in the first place meant to introduce and establish Jpop foothold in Pinas. If they'd say it is to attract more fans, then it can be lessened as much as it is allowed by the melody which affects the pronunciation too.

If I want to listen to a song with no Japanese accent then I'd simply pick Buwan or other OPM songs.

The other way can be said though, if I wanted to hear Japanese accent, then I'll just listen to actual Japanese songs instead.

Anyway, HHE and their loyalists seem to throw around the "AKS mandated so" excuse a lot. Of course, we can't really have a sure way to verify unless AKS give an actual statement. It's a matter of how much a fan trusts HHE I guess /:

In the end about the accent, while I personally prefer the Aitakatta days of sounding more naturally, as a long time AKB fan, I can let the annoying accent be and still support MNL. My concern though is what will make them easier to be appreciated by the general public.

One example I'm sure of, the amazing 365 AEP a capella performance in Shanghai that a lot of non fans are raving about didn't have the noticeable cringey accent.

If I remember correctly, Ash said she will focus on MNL48 a few months ago since she graduated in college but seeing this...
I just don't have the words to say right now.

I know and it's quite a shock. Btw, her Mini Live/Grad Concert has already been officially set and announced (Sept. 15):

Seriously, why is it always the Top girls who graduate?

Is there something going on? Ash is like the last person I would think of graduating

just found this out by accident and it seems common that it's a family decision for not being pushed/let down.

Ash's Dad finally speaks before her official announcement/interview later on Live..

"Very consistent on being a letdown, we made the right choice."

Edit: It was also a long time plan to quit all along before 2nd GE to pursue her Japan scholarship per Live discussion..

Lol. On the contrary, before being officially out, Ash is probably the very first person that will announce graduation next to Sayaka. Maybe because we are in the same circle of folks, but I know beforehand that this announcement is long overdue. We all know she is more inclined in honing her Japanese and given a chance of a scholarship in Japan itself... man, even I will be mad if she won't pursue it.

Well, in other news.. it is already as expected..

Hallohallo Entertainment Inc. (HHE) would like to formally announce the promotion of Frances from Kenkyuusei to being an official member of MNL48 second year. She will be part of the Next Girls and will also be joining Team L correspondingly.

    https://mnl48.hallohallo.com/news-a...kyuusei-frances-now-an-official-mnl48-member/

She's got a lot of potential of being an ace.

i've only been casually following mnl, but i really didn't expect ash to leave :( she was one of the ones who had a consistent amount of fans

i kind of just skimmed through her video, but it seems like she has (a lot?) of regrets on leaving the group - especially with how she talks about the girls and their time together. i know she had other circumstances, but i feel like if she didn't feel that being asked "are you really going to leave?" was an ultimatum and wasn't annoyed by it, she would've stayed. i don't know, just my two cents :(
