"LAPIS ARCH is a fresh unit formed last December by three top runners of NMB48 5th generation, Jonishi Rei, Umeyama Cocona, and Yamamoto Ayaka. A solo concert will be held on February 14, and what is the secret story of the formation of a unit that has attracted a lot of attention from fans as being the future of the group? We will send you an interview with the March issue of "Monthly Entertainment" along with gravure cuts.
──The formation of LAPIS ARCH and a solo live event were announced at a special performance of three people last December.
Yamamoto: Originally, we started talking about what we wanted to do, but I was really happy because we didn't expect to be able to do it as a unit. However, since the performance members were announced at a performance that was not announced in advance, I was a little anxious about what the fans would think, but I was relieved to have comments from the people who watched the performance and distribution to support me did.
──What made you want to do something with the three people?
Jonishi: When we did the unit at the 9th anniversary live last year, the feedback from the fans was very good. If I wanted to do it again, everyone was on the path to the unit with the same feeling (laughs).
──The origin of the unit name?
Umeyama: Lapis is made from a lapis lazuli jewel, and the arch has many meanings, but I hope it shines.
Yamamoto: Don't go roughly (laughs).
Jonishi: I can't tell you anything (laughs).
Yamamoto: Arch added "H" of "HOPE" to the initials of the three, but it also includes the meaning of "hanging bridge" so that various people can know NMB48.
It's time for sit up training for Danceable!
In the idol way, of course

Some fans speculate these delays may have impacted the release of the next single.
I'm not sure how the outlook is for other groups but this is hitting NMB pretty hard. The Okinawa trip is one of the big events I look forward to each year, and the hype for Akarin Fes+Spring concert was very high. The fashion events are a big loss as well.
Here's to hoping YNN has some budget for some activities to weather the storm...
They can afford a live:
Today's Danceable! training is long jump
Brutal losses all around. It was pretty clear they were gearing up to announce a lot of things (a new single, 7th gen) at Akarin Fest/Harucon. Maybe they'll still fit some PV shooting in there (since weekends seems to have been freed up a bit, but it's a stretch) - a big loss of momentum all around going into 10th anni. Akarin Fest had to be postponed early due to veering away too far from its original idea/having to notify its guests, but they'll probably give it a bit before announcing anything regarding Harucon.
I must say they are doing great with live stream events though. As an international fan who can't go to events in Japan anyway, the increased internet content actually gives me a lot more content than usual
The two SHOWROOM events, Hide and Seek and Karuta, were kind of boring but at least the members looked like they were having a lot of fun which is good enough for me
Then, the two YNN events were fantastic. Sugoroku was really funny, and Jinro is entertaining as usual.
Now, there's the livestreamed theatre stages on DMM, and commentary on YNN. I like how they are giving little awards for each stage even though they're kind of meaningless. Also the camera angles are completely different from usual. The girls doing cheers and encores, and the dynamic during the MC segments is also really funny. It's all a fresh way to experience the stages. I actually bought a month pass to DMM for this but I consider it charity during these rough times lol
Also looking forward to the NicoNico livestream commentary of Lapis Arch Concert that they just announced: https://live2.nicovideo.jp/watch/lv324493964
