Also released at the peak of COVID when the government told people to confine for a month
But like I said, only 3 releases from 48/46 groups made the Hot 100 this year, nobody cared about lots of songs

One major difference between this year and last year is that streaming numbers became a larger factor in ranking. If they had this year’s streaming rules, last year, then Nogi’s songs probably would have ranked similarly to this year.

Shiawase HS was postponed in the middle of the sales cycle (I think around 8th round) which would have had a negative effect on sales.

I am thinking the setlist is more or less the same. but normally the final day has the best atmosphere and energy. may or may not add an extra encore too .
guess any of the days would be a good day .

I've seen this uploaded on their channel and at first I thought: "she's singing so bad, why did they choose to upload this?". But then I understood: she started crying.
Kinda sad that they think and are aware that "idol crying" sells more than "idol singing well", and it's even funnier since we know Kaki is even a good singer most of times.., but on this one... showing her tears was better for their purpose I guess.

It's all part of a live show. It just isn't a carbon copy performance of the studio versions. Live shows are about engagement!
It's the passion of the artists, the interaction with the audience, the display of emotions both happy and sad that make a live concert so much more.

So yeah, the teaser shows that's what we're gonna get.

Yeah, interaction with the audience is a big, BIG part of idol live shows - which.. watching many, many idol performances this year - TIF especially - with no audiences kinda brings home. The absence of chants alone is just jarring.

Talented idols and singers, there are thousands of those around

They clearly figure it out since AKB, they are not selling talents, they are selling those connection you feel when you watch these girls

Let's be honest, Japan is a wealthy country, their average citizen can afford much more than some elites in other countries, but Japan is also one of the loneliest country in the world, they have the highest die alone cases around, sad, so sad

Aki-P knows exactly that emotional connection would sell like hot cakes to those weebs (me included), its capitalistic but you gotta do what you gotta do

by now, everyone should have known that japan will never ever sell talent. their entertainment(acting/singing/idol) will always about the pretty/handsome/cute people, the aura, and how much they would humiliate themselves in variety shows. im not sure when will japan will get wake up call that talent(at least singing industry) can attract worldwide attention. even with how kpop went big with good looking but with talent to boost, japan never seems to be amazed. and kpop seems to be a phenomena too in japan. lol

There are a lot of talented singers in Japan, I believe. It's just idol market is bigger.

obviously but japan rarely push that talent. many popular singer doesnt have great voice like how rest of the world perceive (someone like crystal kay, ito yuna have great voice and singing talent), HOWEVER what i like about japan is the singers usually has unique voice/tune that we can distinguish easily.

die alone isnt mean that we are lonely. i just dont want to have a kid and sleep with same girl for 40 years . lots of people can do what toshi or ayumi can do and they can sell it for aliving .what i want to talk about idols in musics part ??
its strange and i love it becasue they use so many people to sing it .its make their song even better . just as the song like /bat/ .its sound good because they sing together and and live with that guitars wall . its just other kind of music and lots of people love it . thats all. ayumi cry too and alots in concert
