Yeah I just saw. I would be really surprised if Fingers wins.

 

It's not really surprising, it's since 2017 that Nogi is being nominated every year. And of course they're not gonna win, they did their double streak with Influencer and Synchronicity at their peak.

 

Well when they won with Synchronicity it kinda raised my eyebrows because I thought DA PUMP’s U.S.A. was a shoo-in. For this year I was expecting to see Hinatazaka with Kimi Shika or tteka.

 

it was surprising but not that much cause Nogi was still at its popularity peak and they had to have a double streak win like AKB to say they reached the same goal and status (probably it has been bought by management btw, we know these awards shows are rigged).

WOW Kubo in dark green kimono looks AMA~ZING

 

I always look forward to Nogizaka's coming of age ceremony to see what colorful design of kimono they'll be wearing. So this year, that's something I didn't expect from Kubo. My favorite green. So yeah, she's officially my no.1 after Ikuta left.

Seijin no Hi is today and congrats to the eight members celebrating adulthood. Although 18 is now the legal age, Seijinshiki is limited to 20 year olds at least here in Tokyo.

 

How would you translate what they call themselves 「新・華の2001年組 」? "New 2001 Flower group?" And isn't that a reference to Nanase and the 94 year group?

 

Yeah, I think it likely is a reference to the '94-year group, which is also a reference to many other certain age groups including outside of show business. I believe it's a term used to title an age group that some people believe to be special, either by chance or for historical reasons. I'd translate it as "The New・Glamorous 2001 Group" (since the "flower" here is a metaphor for glamor/glory/amazing/words like that).
