After all that drama we went through, at the end of the day fans pick the simplest name "STU48-GO" lol

Yeah the name is a bit boring, but on the flipside just attaching the '48' number will easily increase awareness

 

Maybe Aki-P can write a song with the boat name STU48 go like how Max Toki 315 go.

I actually preferred STU48 go..... simple and it is their identity.

 

Mikasa was be perfect name.

 

I remember watching the drama Umi no Ue no Shinryoujo and hearing Seto no hanayome for the first time.
Scenic islands plus a nice song.
This touring music group just enhances it.

I'm not exactly sure where the boundaries of the Seto Inland Sea are, but it should also comprise Kyushu and Osaka, so the numbers would be a lot higher. Looking at the map brings back memories. Onomichi and Teppan, Fukuyama and Tomonoura Boujou, Shōdoshima and Nijushi no Hitomi, and Ōkunoshima with all its rabbits.

There will be some more buzz for a few days more, but Japan being Japan and the #MeToo movement being something that can't permeate Japan still, this will be forgotten in a few weeks. Unfortunately, though, people in charge (or grown ups as some members call them) and especially Japanese male don't forget public humiliation and this will probably become a future handicap for Kahotaru. Whenever the GM has to choose between Kahotaru and another member to fill a position, who do you think he will choose? I'm not saying he'll force her to graduate, or that he won't let her do stuff, but whenever he has to choose some members for some advertisement campaign, or whenever he needs to send some members for promoting something important, this will sway his decision.

True, doesn't help that she isn't between the popular members, but this handicap won't help her at all.

 

I know how they would treat "idols" (I jokingly said somewhere that the #MeToo movement wouldn't have helped Kahotaru this time because, basically, idols wouldn't have existed at all if #MeToo were a force to reckon in Japan). However there's a cultural gap between Asian/African countries regarding women that prevents this movement from being successful (thankfully )

It's the same as with beauty pageants, feminists believe having women accepting it denigrate women as a whole and since they cannot convince them (because, you see, there are women who actually like to participate in such events just as there are prostitutes who actually take the decision of being a prostitute or women who actually agreed to wear school uniforms) it's better to just strike out that option, to make it illegal or to push such pressure as to force those in charge to accept their (personally) bogus mentality. This has happened throughout history (accept the idea that the Earth was the center of the universe, for example).

So his first and foremost concern is financial results.

Both are right, idols are assets just as the theater, songs and outfits, so technically he was hired for both taking care of assets and profiting.

Also I'd like to clarify something which some people in comments in other places have said. When their choreographer or their vocal trainer tells them they suck at dancing or singing, their feelings are hurt but they know they can work harder to improve. When their make-up artist tells them they look horrible, fat or untidy they know they can do something to improve. However, the manager told Kahotaru something she just can't fix, and which he thinks is a requirement as a STU48 member. In her broadcast she said that she was born that way, that she just can't get a deeper tan. She wasn't crying because she got hurt at someone telling her she was gaudy but instead because she was born that way and didn't know how to change it. She wasn't hurt, but she was in despair at the thought of never being able to improve that aspect of her. Imagine if Yuasa had told Ayachan, I think your eyes aren't straight enough to be a Nagoya idol or someone telling Shihorin, I think your are just to tall to be an idol.

Chihochan mentioned this morning she got evacuated together with her mom, and she doesn't know the situation/damage on their house, as they can't go back yet. And MiyuMiyu writes a lot of mails, so she's definitely okay.
