Sometimes you want to measure yourself. If a standardized exam (TOEIC, TOEFL, JLPT, etc) isn't available or applicable, the only way to do it is actually trying it live. I know I sometimes go to job interviews not planning on leaving my current one, just to check what are recruiters looking for, how my experience looks for them, and which points to improve if necessary.

For these young girls, it might also be that their parents just allow them to participate thinking they aren't going to make it (after being pestered for a while), but as the auditions pass and they continue, they get nervous. It's what happened to Shihorin, her mother didn't think she would take it too seriously but when she realized she actually did, she forced her to quit.

 

And, that was one of my fears.

I liked that #25 went for Inuyasha theme.

Yeah, I came across it. Her Twitter is private so I could not verify it for myself. Will keep an eye on the STU blog. Should show up there soon enough.

 

From just the audition videos, 8 (doing high notes during an audition are quite risky imo so props to her), 10, 21, 29, 36, and to a certain extend, 31 are quite decent singers. The others are just plain tone deaf or average idol voice. But I guess there's other factors since we did see Sakura, Mio, and more get accepted

 

51 too retired.

The STU matomes just pick up stuff from 2ch, so if you believe them, you may as well believe 2ch directly.

I'm quite sad about #66. She was cute.

Haven't seen any showroom's of #51 so I don't really know her. Only that she was almost always wearing the Pikachu suit

So, it's actually good that they don't have any contract yet and we don't know their names. Easier for them to go back to their normal lifes.
Though #66 is/was a model already haha

 

If you make your name public, you might want to be able to use the fact that you have passed the auditions in the future in your resume...

 

Guess this means Cuca is definitely in. As in contract signed.

The cost is high. But I will take it if it gives us Cuca in 48G.

She deleted her Twitter account, but she made her blog private apparently (it's asking for a password to access it). Not sure if that's allowed or not.

 

Her YT vids were probably set to private as well, rather than just deleted.

I mean that is 9 YEARS of work between Cuca and her mom. There is a ton of memories in that for the family. I doubt even management would want that to completely disappear. Same can be said about the blog.

 

Not sure if you can legally sing songs and post them in YouTube in Japan, if YouTube pays royalties as Showroom does. I guess she got the raws, or that she downloaded them all. It doesn't seem as if they had been set private, the message is different.

 

She used the instrumental tracks only and sang the songs her self. 9 years and all her vids stayed up with very, very little copyright trouble. Also her vids should fall under the "transformative" section of Fair Use.

And they are all coming up private for me.......

I think that #22 is a decent singer too. She just didn't choose a good song for her audition...
