Saarbrücken :^^;: Sometimes I still visit Saarbrücken, it's not far away from my old hometown. So when I visit Elversberg, I always make a short detour to Saarbrücken as well

out of interest: Is someone here planning to attend the Japan Day in Dusseldorf on May 21th ? I don't have to work this weekend and so I'm think about to attend Japan Day. But I'm not sure because I went there least year and it was an huge disappointment in many ways

Is the thread still alive? I'm new here in this forum and recently move to Germany. So I think it is good to make some friends here.

Yeah, there's not that much to do in this thread and I'm more like, lurking around on the forum.
But welcome to Germany, hope you'll have a great time!

Thanks guys for the welcome. Anyway, I would like to buy some stuffs from cdjapan or something like that. Does anyone know how much can I import stuffs before I get taxed? How long does it takes to get through the Zollamt?

If your order is worth less than 22€ including shipping you won't have to pay anything. If your order is up to 150€ (including shipping) you'll have to pay 19% of the amount you payed for the goods (7% for books and paintings, but paintings are probably hard to find at cdjapan). If your order is worth more you will have to pay 19% + additional customs duties depending on what exactly you order. Here's a list on these aditional duties and here's an article about what I wrote at the beginning.

If you're lucky enough they might not have enough time to investigate your parcel and will just proceed with the shipping process without actually demanding money from you. Happened to me like 2 times, the last time a few days before christmas, which saved me like 25€, but this only happens occasionally really. Wouldn't bet my money on it happening.

How long the customs process takes varies a lot. As I mostly ship using SAL I can't really see how long my parcels actually are at the customs office, but from what I have heard it can take up to 1-2 weeks but can also be a lot faster. It has something to do with how many parcels the customs office has to investigate at the time.
I think before christmas/easter it could take very long.

Currently it's Japan-Week on arte, and they also have a documentary about idols, which is already in the Mediathek. It focusses mostly on smaller groups and I'm sure I've seen some of it before already, but at least at the start AKB pops up too:
    https://www.arte.tv/de/videos/058392-000-A/tokyo-idols/

    EDIT:
Ok after watching this, I noticed it's indeed a pretty old documentary, from 2016, and it's as always mostly negative towards Idols

Erlaube mir die Frage, weshalb löst du einen Teil auf?

Andere Frage - enthält die DVD von der RH2010 das Fotobuch? Bin der Meinung mal gesehen zu haben das es auch eine Variante ohne gibt.
Was den Preis betrifft, könntest du mir deine Vorstellung per PM zukommen lassen.
