    "I have requested to be excused from the AKB48 research students due to personal reasons, so as of February 20th it will be going into effect.
    I’m sorry for this abrupt announcement, but Kanazawa has also thought long and hard about other possibilities before arriving at this conclusion.

    Too many girls leaving today =\ From the sounds of it, it seems like she doesnt really WANT to leave, but sort of needs to. I'm assuming due to the fracture you guys are talking about :(

    I just did some digging around memolist. It turns out that Yuuki only missed 9 shows due to stress fracture (her comeback was on 12/21). According to memolist, the average time for recovery is usually around 2-3 months. My guess is that Yuuki rushed her comeback too early and it backfired on her in some way.

    Come to think of it, the only member who managed to come back from an injury/illness comepletely is ume-chan.

    Guys, it might not be the injury. Maybe she's just realized that AKB isn't right for her. She doesn't need any more reason than that.

    I probably had the strongest oshi feeling for this girl out of anyone from 7th~11th gen and now she's gone. It hurts knowing that she's tried so hard and come so close from her days as an underground idol in Hokkaido performing for fans in the single-digits, to have to leave/quit now.

    I guess I'll just have to put hope in 12th gen =(

    ^Imai Yurie was one of them. I'm not sure who the other two are.

    Every RS who's been her under has ended up leaving the group before they were promoted. Most of them have been relatively popular as well, even though the popular RS usually make it to the group.

    Uriya Akane -> Hayashi Ayano -> Imai Yurie -> Ishiguro Atsuki -> Kanazawa Yuki

    Atsuki took over Sashihara's position when Imai left and Nonaka always did Yukirin's spot.

    Poor Yuuki. I dont know 10th and 11th gen girls so much. If the reason of her retirement is injury/illness, I hope she gets better..

    And who'll be the next Sashii's victim? LOL

    I've been watching this year's Request Hour, and Yuuchan popped up quite a bit. It just makes me miss her so much! :cry: I hope she comes back to the entertainment business...

    Apparently she's visiting Tokyo for summer vacation from Hokkaido, and it looks like her hair got lighter. ;__;
