I certainly prefer seeing Karen in cute clothes, stylish clothes, crossdressing (YES!) and cosplay than bikini... because... well
a) I can see Karen as anything but ero...
b).. let me said this bluntly... She doesn't have the "required assets" for doing that IMO


Edit: She's teasing more pictures on twitter.

 

I also don't see her as ero / sexy, but more like nice / cute / looking good. Oh, and thankfully she didn't do gravure back in the group, because she got a lot more skills than just visuals. About the 'required assets', it's all preferences, so no problem.

But she certainly looks good on those shots. Looking forward for more hi-res photos (if any) later, for my phone's wallpaper (casual one)

Can I talk about my view of Karen?

From the beginning I actually don't see her as Idol, but more to artist, entertainer.

On some interviews she said that during AKB auditions, when asked what was her goal, she said that her goal is to “stand on Broadway”, not “want to be Center”.

That's one 'unique' way to enter an Idol Group.

台湾再び！！！

台湾入り〜〜〜！
I entered Taiwan~~~!

今年の夏に初めて来た台湾！美味しいものもたくさんあって、現地の人もみんな優しい、台湾が大好きになりました
I came to Taiwan for the first time summer this year! There are a lot of delicious things, the local people are also friendly, I came to love Taiwan

だからまた絶対に来るねって言ったんだけど…まさかこんなに早く来られるとは。ｗｗ
That’s why I told that I would definitely come again but… I didn’t expect it to be this fast. (laughs)

昨日に引き続き大盛況でして、萩の月も仙台きなこも、わずか1時間で完売！！！

こうして全世界に東北が、そして萩の月が広まっていくのがとても嬉しいです

With Lord Date Masamune-sama and Katakura Kojuro-sama from Date Battalion Corps, whom I’ve never co-starred with until now.

ずっとお会いしてみたかった方々だったので、今回ご一緒できて嬉しかったです
They are the ones who I always wanted to see, so I was happy to be able to appear together

ステージも初めてちゃんと観させて頂いたのですが、迫力が凄かった…
It was the first time I saw them on stage, the power was amazing…

私はアニソンブロックにて、ソロでSPYAIRさんの「サムライハート」、はるきゃんさん、萌乃さん、唯月ふうかさんとμ'sさんの「Snow halation」を歌わせて頂きました〜
I was in the Anisong block, I sang SPYAIR’s 「Samurai Heart」solo, with Harukyan-san, Moeno-san, and Yuzuki Fuuka-san sang μ’s-san’s 「Snow halation」~

サムライハートを歌うと言うことで、今日の衣装はちょっとRockにしてみました笑はい。カタチから入るタイプです。ｗｗ
Because I sang Samurai Heart, today’s clothes looked a little bit Rock LOL alright. I’m a type that enters from a shape. (laughs)

大好きなサムライハートを歌うことができて、本当に気持ちよかったです
To be able to sing Samurai Heart that I liked, I felt really good

Snow halationもとっても素敵な曲だったし、はるきゃんさんの「空色デイズ」も、萌乃さんとふうかさんの「ライオン」も、アニメ好きにはたまらないセトリだったんじゃないかなと思います！(ﾉ)´∀｀(ヾ)
Snow halation was also a very nice song and I think that Harukyan-san’s “Sorairo Days”, Moeno-san and Fuuka-san’s “Lion” were also irresistible for animation lovers! (ﾉ)´∀｀(ヾ)

昨日は小顔矯正サロンQpuさんに行ってきまして、お顔をスッキリしてもらいました
Yesterday I went to small face correction salon Qpu-san, and I had my face refreshed

ほんと、行くたびに施術前と施術後の違いにびっくりする……！
Really, every time I go, I am surprised at the difference between pre-treatment and post-treatment …!

歪み、浮腫みを取ってもらい、るんるんでした(´ω`)

そのあとは映画館へ！
After that I went to the cinema!

ずっと見たかったけど見れてなかった『何者』を滑り込みで見てきました！
I managed to watch 『Somebody』which I always wanted to see but I can’t!

いやぁ、間に合ってよかった…！
Well, I’m glad that I made it in time!

キャストが豪華すぎだし、どんなお話なんだろう？と思って見に行きましたが、
Cast is too wonderful, I thought what kind of story is it and went to see,

ネットが流通する今現代のこの世の中に特化したストーリーで、なんか色々考えさせられました。
It’s a story specialised in this modern world where the internet circulates, somehow I was made to think about various things.

ネットに依存しがちだったり、ネットでしか強く在れない人が多すぎる今の世の中。前にも言った気がするけど、そう言う人に限って頑張ってる人を笑うんだよ。
We tend to rely on the internet, there are a lot of people who are strong only on the internet. I feel like I’ve said this before, but I just laugh at such people who are trying so hard only by that.

自分が人より優れていて、周りを客観視できてると思ってるかもしれないけど、結局そう言う人が1番カッコ悪い。
Considering themselves to be better than anyone, thought that they are able to do objective view of their surroundings, in the end those kind of people are the most uncool.

ダサくたって、イタくたって寒くたって、がむしゃらに何かを掴もうと藻搔いてる人の方がよっぽどカッコいいと私は思う。
Even if it was lame, hurtful, cold, I think the people who desperately struggle to get something is very cool.

誰になんて言われたって、笑われたっていい。私は私でいよう。そう思わせてくれた映画でした。☺︎
It’s fine being told and laughed by anyone. I am who I am. That’s how the movie made me think.


さ！今日はこの後、久しぶりに大好きなあのコに会いまする…♡

プライベートで会うのはマジで半年ぶりくらいお互い忙しくてなかなか会えてなかったのですが、今日久しぶりにデートしてきました
It’s seriously been around six month since we met in private because we were both busy, so we cannot meet quite often, but today we went on a date after a while

久々て言っても、一昨年ホリNSで会ってるけどね。ｗｗ

私たちは、気が合うのはもちろんなのですが、たぶん胃袋が合いすぎるのが一番の仲良しの鍵な気がする。

年明けは舞台もあるし、恐らくまたしばらくネイル我慢な期間が続く気がしたので、今回は大っきいストーン乗せてみたり、けっこう思い切っちゃいました
There will be a stage play in the beginning of the year, perhaps I will endure this nail and continue for a while, this time was like putting a big stone, it was kinda heavy.

お店出る時、「よいお年を」って言われて、あ、もう今年終わるんだって実感したのでした。。笑

今日は、来年の1月公演予定の舞台『Wake Up Girls!青葉の記録』稽古初日でした！！

JACK IN THE BOX

今日は久々の武道館に行って参りました！！
Today I went to Budokan after a while!!


武道館に行くのは去年のじゃんけん大会ぶり、お客さんとして行くのは10年ぶりくらいだったかなあ！

知り合いのお誘いで、『JACK IN THE BOX』に行って来ました

14時〜21時まで、いろーんなアーティストの方が1日中ライブをやるって言うイベントで、色んな方の歌が聴けてめちゃ楽しめました

その後は自分のメンテナンスしたり、充実した休日でした( ˘ω˘ )

- After a while, SameMochi will update their new work, looking forward to it!

- So her announcement during her DVD release event is that she will be the main role in the stage play "Silent Mobius" based from a manga. Apparently the theme is fantasy and futuristic? And the story is about an all female cops protecting the city from creatures.

色んな方に、たいへんお世話になりました。

360日前、私はAKB48を旅立つ覚悟を決めました。
360 days ago, I decided to take a break from AKB48.

急な発表に、悲しませてしまった人もたくさんいたよね。
Many people got saddened by a sudden announcement, didn’t they?

それでも、私の前向きな想いが伝わってか、たくさんの方に背中を押してもらえて、

私は一歩、前に進むことができたかなと思っています。

去年、2016年の抱負を聞かれて、「飛躍の年にしたい」と言った記憶があります。

I actually participated in the voting for the awards Karen won on Twitter and when I did it there was already a huge difference between Karen and her musical and her competitors. < March 11th and Now> Former AKB’s starting point was always the disaster area



Iwata-san who holds the camera. 「I want to tell about the current (condition of) disaster area」 = Last year December 1st, Tokyo Shinjuku-ku.

Took the smartphone out of the bag, the image that was shown was, a school building with blue sky behind it.

It was Arahama Elementary School in Wakabayashi-ku, Sendai City, which suffered by the Great East Japan Earthquake Tsunami. Actress Iwata Karen-san (18) on November last year, uploaded the 「Now」on the photo sharing application 「Instagram」. Because it was for program recording, when she visited the disaster area, she uploaded the photos taken at any time.

「I felt like unless I post it, the earthquake will be forgotten」

March last year, she 「graduated」 from the popular idol group AKB48. It’s been 5 years since she went through the disaster area. She’s happy that wherever she goes, her sense of duty to keep in touch with the disaster area, where attentions gathered, was increased.

The earthquake happened in March 11th, 2011, when she was in 6th year elementary school. She was at home in Taihaku-ku. She was surprised by the big tremor and went outside barefooted. With her family, they went to the shelter. Being listed for AKB’s audition shortly afterwards, she repeatedly said 「I should give it up」faint-heartedly.

But, 「AKB is admired by everyone, I will be a member, and I want to make a lot of people smile」. In a young age, she held hope and courage.


Iwata-san who visited the disaster area as the AKB 48 member (leftmost). 「I want to make (the people in) the disaster area smile」 = March 11th, 2013, Tagajo City

She successfully passed the audition the following month. Since that year, as an AKB member, her activities of visiting disaster areas began.

The one that left an impression was the Rikuzentakata City scene, the first visit on November 2011. The city looks like a battlefield as seen in the news. In the city, 「Pin des miracles」, that endured the tsunami, drew a lot of attention.

「I may not be an AKB center, but I want to become a figure like the pine tree in the disaster area forever」

I’m the only one who experienced the earthquake directly. 「I want to encourage the disaster area」. Her feelings got stronger.

After that, she appeared in many programs as「The Idol from disaster area」. She also participated in the Reconstruction Support song 「Hana wa Saku」. Appointed as the Image Character of a local sweets maker for commercials, her range of activities increased.「I cannot return to my hometown unless I give results」. She worked frantically.

The disaster area visit up until this time exceeded 80 times. From Kuji City in the north to Iwaki City in the south. Most of the towns affected by the tsunami visited.

After graduating from AKB, she belonged to entertainment production and began to walk as an actress which was her goal since childhood. She was uneasy. 「What can I do to the disaster area without AKB signboard?」. Her question continued.

It’s almost 6 years since the earthquake disaster. When she lived in her activity base in Tokyo, she often hear the word that the earthquake was told as a distant past event.

To avoid it being faded away, to continue posting about the information of disaster areas, she was aware of the power of photographs.「I want to tell that there are disaster areas that remains as it is and not yet reconstructed」. She has seen a new goal. This spring, going to university, she is planning to properly learn photography.

「I want to tell about the current (condition of) disaster area. In order to raise the message’s power, I have to become an actress loved by my hometown」. Her starting point was always the disaster area. (Reporter ・Takeda Toshiro)

And my personal thoughts after reading the article:

「I may not be an AKB center, but I want to become a figure like the pine tree in the disaster area forever」

Well, Karen really loves her hometown. That makes me think that her whole time during in AKB was to do the charity event in Tohoku.

「I want to tell about the current (condition of) disaster area. In order to raise the message’s power, I have to become an actress loved by my hometown」

Her wanting to be more known was in order to make a powerful message to everyone.

I remember one time when Karen complained why there hasn’t been any concert in Sendai yet, in which Togasaki (General Manager at that time) commented that they were working for it.

And finally it came true on the Final Zenkoku Tour in Sendai, which felt like Karen’s Homecoming Concert. :v

That was in the last of 2014, if you noticed, she then started focusing on musical and outside jobs, and finally decided to graduate in 2016.

She did well post-graduation. She got to appear in several stage plays, had some interviews with magazines, and her gravure DVD ranked 1st on 5 stores.

Furthermore, she won the “Best Musical Starring” Award for the stage play “Maria and Princess the Green”, with the stage play also won an award in the OVERTURE Award 2016.

And apparently Karen will be going to university this year, to learn about photography, according to the article.

As in 2017, there are several works already lined up for her. Wish her a good year ahead!

本日はついに稽古場最終日でした。
Today was finally the last say of practice.

明日からはいよいよ小屋入りです！
It’s finally koyairi* from tomorrow!

(*note: entering the stage, perhaps staying in the theatre till the performance? Please enlighten me :v )

地元仙台を舞台に成長していく7人のアイドルたちのアニメが始まると聞いて、これは見るしかないと思い、Weka Up, Girls!を見始めました。
When I heard that an anime about 7 idols who are growing up in Sendai started, I thought that I have to see this, so I started to watch Weka Up, Girls!

その後、仙台出身アイドルと言うことで、Weka Up, Girls!について取材してもらったりもして、
After that, because I was an Idol from Sendai, I got interviewed about Weka Up, Girls!,

いつかWUGちゃんたちに会いたいな。
いつかこの作品に携わりたいな。
Someday I want to meet the WUG members.
Someday I want to be involved in this work.

そんな想いを抱いていたら、まさかの舞台化オーディション。
When I embraced those feelings, there’s the audition for the stage play.

これは絶対に掴みたい！そう思って挑みました^ ^

お稽古も毎日楽しくて、
Everyday’s practice was fun, too,

WUGちゃんたちの仲良しで和気あいあいとした雰囲気とか、可愛すぎる声に癒されながら、幸せに浸ってました( ´ ▽ ` )笑
I was immersed in happiness of the friendly atmosphere from getting along with WUG members, healed by their cute voices ( ´ ▽ ` ) (LOL)

私達もどうやったらI-1らしさが出るかとか、
たくさん試行錯誤して、ダンスもいっぱい練習してきました。
How can we have the similarities with I-1,
We did a lot of trial-and-error, we also practiced a lot of dance as well.

だから今は、本番がとっても楽しみです！
So at this moment, I’m looking forward the actual performance!

早く皆さんに観てほしいなー♪

- A little bit OOT, but after the 13th gen concert yesterday, Tano expressed that she wanted to have a 12th gen concert as well. she also described the remainin 5 members of 12 gen in a funny way.

本日無事、初日を終えましたー！！
Today, the first day of the performance ended safely!!

今回はWUGちゃんたちの初舞台。
お客さんも、みんなWake Up, Girls!が大好きな方ばかり
This time it’s the first stage play for WUG members.
For customers, too, everyone who loves Wake Up, Girls

私もアニメが放送されていた時からWUGが大好きだったので、ワグナーの皆さんにお会いするのが本当に楽しみでした♪
I also loved the anime since it was broadcasted, so I’m looking forward to meet WUGner * ♪

でもその反面、私たちI-1clubは、センターのしほっちしか本家様も居ないし……
But on the other hand, we in I-1club, there is no head other than the center Shihocchi……

皆さんに、私たち演じるI-1clubを、岩田華怜の吉川愛を受け入れてもらえるかなって、少し不安もありました。

今こうして女優として「アイドル」を演じて、気付かされるとは思いませんでした。笑

明日からの残り6公演、よしめぐちゃんを、大切に大切に演じられそうです。

今日は昨日と少し演出が変わったり、台詞が追加になったりした場面もあって、

初日が開けても尚、このワグステをより良いものへと、皆さんと一緒に創れている感じがして、とても充実した1日でした☆
Even after the first day of performance, still, the WUG Stage Play is getting better and better, I feel like I was able to create it with everyone, it was a very fulfilling day ☆

- The WUG Stage Play has finished! Cheers for the good work of casts and staffs!

- Apparently Karen has started to post her photography under the hashtag #karen_camera on Twitter. It has been said that she wanted to pursue photography, so I think this is a good way to improve her photography skill.

- So according to what I've seen in twitter timeline, Karen's YoshiMegu got a lot of positive reviews and feedback! As expected from Iwata Karen the actress.

- Karen's manager, Mino, has started twitter to promote Karen. Expect some funny conversation between them.

- Karen has started a live stream program titled "岩田華怜の岩ファミ教えて！！" or "Iwata Karen no IwaFami Oshiete!!" (Iwata Karen's Tell Iwata Family!!). It's basically like a showroom where she talks about various things, accompanied by Mino the manager. She got a 1500 target views in less than 1 hour. On 20th January she only got 1200 and has to drink something awful as a punishment. The program seemingly done in order to raise points for the competition that is held by HoriPro Ichioshi Program.
Oh, and at some point during the stream, she opened acapella request where she sang various songs, and her voice is as godly as usual.
Too bad it seems that there are no recorded stream of this..

- There's only 1 blog post for last week, which is understandable since she's preparing for her return in Meijiza SAKURA.

- Karen got 1st place on Horipro Ichioshi! Considering that there's also Nagashima Seira (former Nogi46), I guess this is a great thing! The rank is not final yet so there's still more that are need to be done.
