    You're confusing popularity with recognition. Recognition just means people recognize the celebrity's face and/or name, it doesn't automatically mean everyone likes them. There can be people who might be recognized by the Japanese public but not liked much, for example Tatsuya Yamaguchi or Logan Paul. This Nikkei survey always has two parts - the first question asks "Do you recognize this person?" and if someone answers yes then they are asked a second question "Do you want to see/hear more of this person?". Combining the results of these two things gives the actual public interest for the celebrity - I guess a sort of crude estimation of popularity.

    The "90%" you are talking about for Acchan is only recognition. Take a look at the second picture that was posted - this is a combination of the two survey questions (the creator of the picture called it "public interest"). In 2013, 43.9% of the surveyed public were actually interested in Maeda Atsuko even though over 90% recognized her. The last 3 years Sasshi had above 50% for public interest which is higher than Acchan ever got. And Sasshi actually "overcame" Acchan starting in 2015 when she got a higher public interest in that year's survey than Acchan.

    Rino Sashihara (26), who graduated from the idol group HKT 48 , appeared in the July issue of the women's fashion magazine "ar" (Housewife and Lifestyle) released on the 12th. We realized the desire "I want to wear a yukata!" In the magazine.

    In the interview, I don't usually wear a yukata in private, but in my own yukata, Sashihara revealed her thought, “I want to show the eyes of the sun this summer ...”. Speaking of yukatas, it's a fireworks display, but says, "Because it's so crowded, it's okay if you look at fireworks with a simple dress (laughs)."
