I got to hear the takoyaki princess sing in her hometown! TWICE! And all I had to do was wake up before dawn and lineup for 4 and a half hours!

She says there were 450 people between the two shows. I'm actually surprised how smallish the crowd was.

Tickets were free for each show, 1pm and 3pm and were handed out at 10am. I was there at about 5:30am and there were already 3 people in line.

When it came time, we could choose which show, and whether or not we wanted a seated or standing ticket. I drew front row left of center for first show, and then looped the line to get 3rd row dead center the second show.

- Outfit change from 1st and 2nd show. Picture from the 2nd show on her blog. The first outfit she had a beautiful long skirt with vertical stripes of pastel colors.
- She looks so grown up now. Last time I saw her in person was about 9 months ago, but she's so beautiful it's hard not to stare.
- It was a lot easier to enjoy her singing from the 3 row the second show when you're not as busy thinking omg she's standing like 8 ft in front of me.
- Yuka singing live is something else. Her voice is so powerful, you can almost swear it has to be a studio recording.

MC notes:
- Got to spend time with her family, going to onsen.
- No matter how many times she sings, always has the most fun singing Osaka lover.
- MC and her did the obligatory talk about the sponsor, Yamada Denki, who's building it was. She talked about how much she actually loved the store and frequented the one in Shibuya more than 109 actually.

I think her family was in the audience. I saw people get escorted into the last row seated from the wrong entrance. Right when the show ended they were escorted out without hitting the high-touch line, which is when it hit me who they must've been.

DiVA is making a comeback!!!

And they'll be coming back with Yuka back in the group!

But they'll also be disbanding by the end of the year.

Before they disband, they'll be changing their name to DIVA. They'll also be releasing a single on October 8, followed by an album after that. Yuko might be penning the lyrics to one of the songs on the album (a song about her pet rabbit, Hip).

They will also have a final live concert before they disband.

While I'm sad about the disbanding, seems the most logical decision: they cannot be in contact/work together due to their schedules (Sae in SKE, Umechan in NMB and Yuka/Sayaka with their different jobs).

However, I'm happy that Yuka is back for the last stand: the group without her wasn't the same, because DiVA (or DIVA now) stands for four people - can't wait for their releases

 

Wasn't sure how I felt about it at first, but anything that gives a last gasp chance of the zepp dvds finally being released as part of the album so after all these years we can see Stargazer is worth it
Don't let me down again avex please dear god!!

Well well well.
In today RH count, MARIA was in (top 400-301)
So I conclude Yuka ' s fans focused on Stargazer which so far didn't show up.
I wonder if Yuka will be there to sing it if it ever ranks high enough to be performed.

 

If it is to rank than I am at least glad we got to see Yuka do it before whoever may end up doing it performs it (I'm not really expecting Yuka to turn up but hey you never know!)
It's a shame that MARIA isn't going to get high enough after I've got used to the idea of other people always performing it haha.

The queen herself arrived to perform Stargazer (#188) in Request Hour 2015.
That's such a high position, considering she graduated almost three years ago!!
Honestly, I felt many things...happy things!

It seems Yuka has been getting quite a lot of work recently.

 

Oh lol, getting Yuka to meet her first love, who actually likes Yuuko more. She was cute though
