    According to the video description, Miorin made a guest appearance at the Tsukiji Hongan-ji Buddhist Hall in Tokyo where there was a public rehearsal for a new stage production called 'Shīboruto fushi-den ~ aoi me no samurai ~' ('Siebold Father and Son - Blue-Eyed Samurai').

    Philipp Franz Balthasar von Siebold was a German physician and botanist in Dutch service who introduced western medicine to Japan and the father of the first Japanese female physician Kusumoto Ine.
    He was posted to Deshima (the Dutch trading post on an artificial island in Nagasaki) in 1823 and opened a medical school there.
    He was expelled from Japan after the authorities found a map of Northern Japan in his posession

    his son became a diplomatic advisor to the emperor after the Meiji restoration

    his collection of plants was the base for the Naturalis Museum in Leiden where the is also the Sieboldhuis, a museum of items he collected during his stay in Japan and Japanese culture
    (and I'm ashamed to admit I haven't visited it (yet))

    otoh, I also suspect the museum at Deshima is the only one in Japan with flyers in Dutch.
    (it's so weird to be there and hear audiotracks meant for the general public in Dutch)

    trivia:
    neither Siebold or his son ever were samurai, the list of foreigners allowed to wear two swords is extremely short (8).
    There is one Dutchman in that list though, Jan Joosten van Lodensteyn, a shipmate of the better known, in the west, William Adams, but important enough to have the Yaesu side of Tokyo station names after him.

    Do you still don't get it? it's obvious .... Miorin is caught in a transdimensional stasis .... she'll always look like a 16 yo with a lemon fetish :)


    But, on a more serious note, she developed a gimmick which gave her pretty instant recognition, and it worked for her.
    Furthermore, wasn’t she a representative of her prefecture where they grow lemons?
    I think her obligation to the people in her prefecture would prevent her from dropping the persona completely

    She dropped it for 1 year only. But essentially it works in her favour. She's the lemon girl lol. It's gotten her quite the few jobs now (as even dutchie above mentioned about her prefecture). Plus, don't u wish to still be a fresh lemon? It's her cult now lol.
