Dayum she lookin fine. Cutting her hair short is a good decision.
Dayum indeed. I always thought Mei-chan is a shy and reserved person...but I think I've noticed her more and more lately. And now these gravure pics? Wow, just lovely.
I remember the Kyonko, Kumi and Mei location shoot.
She just stood there and smiled the whole time but almost no interaction with Iwai and others at all. She looked like a wallflower there. That's why I like the change now. Her new look allows her to shed her quiet-type image. People start to notice her more and sold her HS slots better. Good for her.
it's been lonely week.. no post on her blog since oct 27th. where are you meimei..

i never seen an autographed item like this (called color guard rifle)
fanart of Mei
Since Meimei was/is a colour guard, she would've used a similar rifle. So I like the fan's ingenuity, I guess.

Lol. Brilliant! Thanks. I thought we really saw MeiMei as she is in the past two shows: her super cuteness, her engaging lolling toddler act, her athleticism, her humourousness, and the hint of steel flashing beneath the surface.
if you also like her, please translate her blog in addition of neru-memi

Haha, there's this one, too: https://twitter.com/7doiya46/status/987496130492612610
MeiMei blog post: 2gens' birthdays, halfway through the stage play's run. Konoka-chan and Manamon's birthdays. MeiMei and Manamon the same age: 20. Learning the natto pose from Konoka. Plus photos with Kawata Hina from Sunday's blog post.
Great comments about MeiMei's performance at the lives last week:
-- Mei-chan's awakening at the lives was outstanding. I could feel it.
-- Her dancing was sharp. She and Katou were one-two, I thought. Her flexibility and expressiveness showed her ballet experience. Outstanding.
-- Her movements gave the feeling of a Disney cast-member
-- The value of having been a colour-guard member has suddenly risen
-- When she was first introduced on Keyakake and did her rifle exercises so perfectly, Tsuchida said: "You'll soon be ready for Disney."
-- MeiMei was outstanding in Natsuiro no Mule. The second coming of Matsuda Seiko (a supremely successful singer who began in the 1980s and is still performing; media call her the "eternal idol")
-- It's good that Higashimura cut her hair
I'll be watching her dancing more closely from now on. Her almost bizarrely shy manner has always intrigued me. For a 19-year-old to act like a four-year-old is clearly an act, but one that she is so comfortable with it just feels real. Quite appealing. When she laughs, you feel as if she really means it. Not showy, just intense, almost as if she can't control her jollity.
Bingo AD got a MeiMei oshi towel
In Wednesday night's tour performance in Tokyo, MeiMei's dancing was still good, but she also let her mic slip out of her hand during Kidaishitenai Jibun, and it flew into the audience. A tweeter says it landed near his/her friend, and staff came over to pick it up. MeiMei? She and the members near hear had a momentary hitch, but then just kept dancing as if nothing had happened. Perfect.
Later, the tweeter said he/she shouted at her "Thanks for throwing the mic!" and she waved and gave him a wry smile. Someone called this "the yancharu mic incident." "Yancharu" means naughty or rambunctious, and "Yancharu Mei-chan" was an early nickname of Meimei's, which she hated. One tweeter said that seeing her looking embarrassed, he/she just wanted to hug and comfort her. Lol. source
In other MeiMei news, who do you think this is?
No, not a pic of MeiMei from the future. It's Aiba Jun 饗庭 純, the singer/songwriter who wrote Getsuyoubi no Asa, Sukaato wo Kirareta.
