Audition HKT48 4th Generation Auditions to Start

When the application end date (29th Feb) and the rumoured start of the first training (1st April) got out, I wondered about the exact same thing. When are they going to arrive.

I decided to check the respective dates for the 3rd and 2nd HKT gen auditions from back in the day, and see how long it took for them to debut.

For the 2nd it was 111 days after the end of the applications, and 85 after the supposed first training.
For the 3rd it was 125 days after the end of the applications, and 93 after the supposed first training.

So from the 29th Feb 2016, the end of apps, it's: 19th June (111) and 3rd July (125)
And from the 1st Apr 2016, first training, it's: 25th June (85) and 3rd July (93)

As such they're pretty much on track and you can keep your eye out for the 19th June - 3rd July window.

Also remember that the 2nd Kyushu/Chugoku/Shikoku hall tour starts the 11th of July in Fukuoka, so it could be that they'll wait an additional week to let them debut there. It'll probably be as important as the 1st hall tour was for the 3rd gen in any case.

I could see them introducing the newbs at the 7/12 concert, it would seem to make for perfect symmetry.

 

Oh... my frustrated dream of becoming an idol ;_; In these moments I think is such a pity I'm not Japanese or from an East Asian country hahaha this has been my dream since I was 12 (5 years ago) so if any non-Asian made it (probably not... but I can dream right?) I would support her really really much.

Anyway! I think that probably the results are going to be revealed these weeks so I'm excited but I'll try not to get my hopes too high

By the way. I was wondering if any foreigner (like... a non Asian) manages to get in the 48groups in Japan... do you think that the fans would be too harsh?

 

Some Wota are terrible no matter who the girl is. But a non-half girl would probably be such a novelty that she would be well loved by a decent amount of fans.

I don't remember the first one but the second one was the one hour special with Sasshi in it. EP 151004

 

She appeared more than once?

I watched the 151004 episode again and I remember hoping she would join. She's really funny and cute.

 

Yes she did. I remember that she wanted to make the costumes for HKT and that she wants to befriend members. Also a bit of an airhead. I found it, it was 150117.

 

And she already doing a unit song.

They seem relatively older than what I feel is expected of HKT's image, which is nice if there's an image change coming.

 

Not a huge number of girls either - right at the 10ish I was hoping for! Big relief. I'll have to take a closer look a little later, can't say any are jumping out at me right now.
