Single HKT48 6th [Shekarashika!] (2015/11/25)

i prefer lower handshake events rather than monster amount of slots that put popular member into exhaustion and other into boredom.

To increase handshake slots makes a difference to big seller, but not with middle/low range. I hope Kishidan fans will help build up some good numbers for this 6th single and compensate the 20 slots handshake sales.

 

do we have the official slot distribution? as in who ahs how many in total?

Shekarashika! senbatsu will be present at the Halloween Live 2015 so maybe we will have the first performance there. (source)

I'm really happy Mai is back in senbatsu, Riko seems like a girl that will still be popular without senbatsu (management sees that now), Emiri has become polished enough management wants to push her.

Shige and Nao are out :0!!!! Nao gained a lot of fans just from her speech, both kinda have a similar image, but Shige is weaker in handshake slots. I think shige's election rank finalised their decision because she was supposed to be the Nana of HKT originally

This is the first HKT single that doesn't feel like management is experimenting or finalising positions (3 years of Sakuruppi vs miomeru) .
Its the first single where they aren't the youngest 48 group in Japan!

 

Anna Murashige not in Senbatsu , I'm extremely sad!

 

Yay for Rikopi, i'm happy that she got into senbatsu, same for maichan comeback. Kinda sad about Aanya though, one hafu in, one hafu out?

 

It seems that most of them have finished with the filming and apparently the trailer is (half) finished too so we'll probably see it in the next few weeks.

Wow the Single comes out the same time as SKE's? Hopefully, with this song as the intro for the spin off, they can dominate SKE. But with all the hype around the next SKE single since Jurina revoked her kennin position with AKB, it would be interesting to see which one comes out on top.

 

what's the point of those intermediate HS sales results if they don't show the whole picture and will change anyway?
the only thing that matters (for some) is the final Oricon weekly count and ranking. other than that it's a talk about nothing. even the first day actual sales frequently don't show if a single sold less or more than previous singles, because of belated shippings and other circumstances.

and I'm not saying this just because the HKT sales look bad right now, I think about this every single time for any single. it's always same old song every friggin time (especially antis love it)) - "oh, look, HS sales are so bad, this single will flop!!1!", "look, everyone dropped to 0 after first resale round, XXX group is doomed, lol!1!!!". and then comes weekly Oricon with usual sales and it's back to normal till the next single and those HS sale reports

 

Um no sorry that's not how it works. SKE's sales look really good, especially in comparison. Which is very relevant considering SKE and HKT release on the same day.

And you don't have to be an anti to notice HKT's numbers look worse than SKE's, just objective.

In a way these hs numbers tell us more than Oricon numbers. At least they're semi-useful to compare to earlier HKT singles.

that's exactly how it works. every single time))
first day actual sales are the actual sales (duh)), not some HS reports that tell nothing, since they tend to change after resales or/and very hard to interpret, because we don't know how many HS are actually sold. the situation when, for example, 5/35 can be more than 20/20 tell absolutely nothing about actual sales, so, once again, I don't see the point of discussing meaningless intermediate results when you can discuss the final result. but yeah, as I said previously, antis like to spread this negativity every single time))

 

Do you think there will be such a strong competition? I know we're all treating it like it's an SKE single, especially with all of the senbatsu members being in it in one way or another, but technically it's a sub-unit single. Also I think they're only doing mini-handshake events as opposed to HKT who's doing the usual singles handshake events, but I don't really know enough about HS to comment how it affects singles tbh

 

we can't deny there will be sparkle of rivality during the time of release, but at the same time it will fade away like what happened between the SKE and NMV showdown.

Fans are grown up enough to tell the two group apart, as they have both different flavor, strength and weakness.

How the AKB group is structured, i don't think people will switch their interest to another sister group because they sold more sales. The reasoning is more like " AKB is AKB, SKE is SKE".

 

I'm afraid it seems like you're making HKT's position seem worst?

It's a sub-unit single --> so what does it say about HKT if they can't beat an SKE subunit?
They're only doing mini-handshakes --> so what does it say about HKT that is doing a proper handshake event?

HKT isn't releasing on the same day as SKE:
HKT is releasing on the same day as an SKE sub-unit.

There is a difference.
If that SKE sub-unit is doing HS with just the 24 members that participate in the single (and not with all the 70 SKE girls), HKT should be alright.

And @fatrain is right. The whole "lol they're flopping look at those hs sales" thing happens with every single 48 release.
Heck, it happened just two months ago with Halloween Night and it ended selling up selling better than most singles (sans pre-election ones) in the past 3 years.
