Tadaima Renaichuu is like the only team A setlist I like so I'm glad they decided to change Himawarigumi setlist into it!

Now for the unit prediction..... I have none but I hope Chihiro will be in Faint. Or Junai Crescendo. lol.

As a person who watches stages across across multiple teams, I wish they wouldn't have two same stages at once. That might be difficult due to the amount of groups/teams. Akimoto needs to create more new stages.

I too watch a number of team's/group's LODs.

At the very least, change the teams/groups doing the same stage at the same time. Before, it was Team B and HKT Himawarigumi doing PajaDora. Now it is B and HKT Himawarigumi, again.:^^;:

B is my FAVE team, HKT tied with AKB for top group. And while it was kinda neat with the Pajadora stage. That is only because B3 is far and away my favorite stage. The prospect this go-round is not sitting so pretty with me.

Could be worse though. Could be a K stage revival. K has some of my least favorite stages.

^ Haha I love K stage but I don't think they would use it for Himawarigumi (more likely for team H).

Wow that lineup is not at all like normal shonichi lineups. Normally you have the senbatsu members or super pushed girls doing shonichi with everyone else an under but this time "unders" are in the starting lineup! (I only say unders because MeruMio and Madoka and Natsu and the likes aren't in there)
But I think this will be very interesting!

At first i was shocked to, i thought at least shekarashika senbatsu will perform the sonichi (hint from the 4th anniv performance) but hey that's HKT they always make you surprise

and i was surprise that they didin't include Nako in the sonichi since she will perform the setlist too with team B,maybe she left out to see which unit she get in team B then assigned a different unit in himawarigumi (like mio who perform tenshi no shippo in himawarigumi' pajama drive but perform pajama drive in team B pajama drive)

We already know who makes up the Himawarigumi (see first post), but what does "Himawarigumi" mean?

himawari means sunflower. gumi means set. in this case, it means sunflower stage.

Gumi can mean set, but I always thought that since the stages are performed by teams, gumi here means team here.
it makes little sense to me to name it "sunflower stage theater stage". it's like Moon Moon. "himawarigumi gekijou kouen".
and I also thought that sunflower is more of a wordplay/kanji meaning play here too. Rather then defined by flower itself, it is defined by the meaning of the flower: one that turns towards the sun.
However kanji for sun is also used for day. So it would mean one that rotates each day.
This actually makes sense with the way those stages are performed, since the members of the performing team rotate each day. (hi-mawari-gumi)
That would also explain why they actually do not use kanji for the himawari part of the himawarigumi, while they use a kanji for gumi. Instead of using kanji that is used for the actual sunflower.

compare: Himawarigumi Boku no Taiyou stage from stage48 wikia
M09. Himawari (向日葵) <- actual kanji for sunflower

while "ひまわり組 1st Stage 僕の太陽" <- "himawarigumi 1st stage Boku no Taiyo"; himawari is spelled with hiragana.

    edit:
(then again, they didn't use kanji for yurigumi/baragumi either, lol. Still certain gumi means team here.)

I think I'm now getting the idea. @anakdekan's posts bold those members that are the "different members"...

@ryandtw bolded members are the centers for that unit song.

The girls are having so much fun with this stage. I love the song kikyou and glad lovetan centered on the 1st night. I wish mao was the center for kikyou on the 2nd night but imada is senior and did a great job. I just like mao singing voice, it's very healing. 2nd night perf had the most chemistry imo but I loved the third night's young member set. third night felt like a real himawari stage with it's mix of young members. I like how shimono is a dance leader and owning faint. she should center it someday. himawari's groupings are stronger than team k4. darou kanji was always a cool song jiina, mashiro, and eretan are standout dancers for that song.
