Hopes, Fears and Predictions for 2014

Saw this around the other forums, and thought this would be really interesting to talk about with everyone here!

2013 was an awesome year overall and I feel like it was a good year filled with noteworthy personal achievements as well as group achievements, and we can only hope it gets better from here. You could also talk about individual things for your oshimen as well! (Such as appearing in a drama, musical, radio etc)

Hopes:

.4 singles a year like 2012, but if quality became an issue I would be content with 3.
. The singles that we get are unique and constantly keep us on our toes.
.No shuffles. (Which is what it looks like given how management is actively pushing BII currently)
.Give adequate time for the draftees to accommodate themselves to their new respective teams. Particularly Iso, Naiki and Ririka.
. No 5th generation yet, considering how the 4th gen have been active for a year and only Aika has been promoted.
. Each member individually gets something new, be it a local show, another radio program, regular spot on a variety show etc. Something to keep everyone happy.
. If a big member graduates, I hope they find success like Ainyan.
. BII gets a tour of their own near the end of the year?
. Team M/BII continues its growth.
. A new non TV-Nihon produced variety show for the whole group.
. A new show on TV-Nihon that's not Geinin (but I'd like to keep Football Hour one)
. A new stage for M be it another teams or an original one.

Fears
. Scandals

Prediction
. I think what I hoped for more or less will come true (maybe besides the 5th gen, BII getting a tour in 2014 and the non TV-Nihon variety show)

 

Hopes
- DVD releases for RH and Osaka Jo Hall concerts
- I would love a new variety show (I can't help but think how great NMB would have been on Ebi-Fri)
- More ranking members in the Sousenkyo
- 2 members form an Owarai Combi, practice for the year and compete in some contests at the end of the year (and of course document their progress throughout the year)

Fears
- A shuffle that destroys the chemistry of the teams (don't think this will happen, but you never know)

Predictions
- Some 1st gen grads (I think there are a couple who could make it on the variety circuit if the chose to do so)
- BII gets their own tour
- NMB's Team 4 is created (They have some strong KKS talent)

 

Hopes

• -More SayaMilky
  -Keira appreciation
  -Ripopo appreciation
  -Yuihan kennin again
  -Better A-sides

Hopes

Better a-sides (Kamone was good, Eureka boring.) Best in the vein of KitaKen/Nagiichi.
More a-sides next year.
More BII exposure! I don't know them at all besides Shu.
Variety show for NMB that is more of a normal variety show similar to Bingo. (I only know of Geinin and that focused too much on the top few members)
More girls ranking!
Lemon ranking up!

Fears

Only 2 a-sides released this year
B-sides are lacklustre
M2 and BII3 are gonna be delayed forever
N4 will never come as an original stage
Scandals

Predictions

Shuffle which puts Milky at the front of BII so top 3 is split between three teams like SKE (S -Jurina KII- Akane/Akarin E - Rena/Aya)
Milky's concurrency revoked

 

Hopes:
-Better and more musical performances. The Ame no Midosuji performance was sick and I would love to see them do performances of that caliber.
-Sayanee kicks more ass. When I watch the older stuff I still see a ton of potential that still hasn't been realized yet, which makes me frustrated.
-Anchu/Maachun making more strides in comedy acting. I'm surprised that they don't have anything like Midnight Comedy.
-Nagisa-mae gets better at everything. I want to see her do really well. If they gave her the ballad in the KKS stage then surely, surely she has singing potential, right?
-With that said, I want the Aika hype train to keep going. She's still super green though.
-More variety shows. Geinin was great, but as of right now we have nothing
-No more new gens/girls yet, please.
-Hirorin gets promoted and rides off into the sunset. Vroom vroom~
-Zipper shuffles at concerts. Everyone needs to strip down, lol.
-Resurgence of Jou. She seems so much cooler when she came back.
-More rivalry and blood between NMB and other sister groups. I'm feeling an SKE rivalry.
-Yui getting involved with NMB again.
-I hope my blog becomes more interesting, lol. For that matter, I hope my Japanese gets better too.
-NMB TV has better shows

Fears
-Sayanee stagnates and doesn't get enough musical opportunities, also remains timid.
-Milky stagnates. This is a very real fear because I feel like her performance ability has dipped and I don't think she has a bright future in singing... what else can she do besides flirt?
-Milky retaining concurrency.
-Lemon doesn't leave.
-Original M/BII stages never manifest.
-Emichi's janken push fades away and she disappears (I don't think this will happen though, she's making great use of it).
-If it turns out that Ayabaa's insecurity is actually very real.
-Older Members like Yuppi, Saki Kono and Iso graduating, unfulfilled.
-Kimoshita becomes really (clinically) crazy.
-Renapyon being unable to move on from her udon character.
-KKS not getting a place to shine.
-Kanakichi becomes fat.
-More uninspiring lip-synching instead of pushing musical talent.

Predictions:
-Gigantic push for BII coming with Emichi and Murokana.
-M finally challenging N in popularity.

 

Hopes:
- a good variety show like Naniwa Nadeshiko
- more BII girls pushed (Murokana, Emichi)
- Hirorin promoted to N
- Mirurun ranking in the election

Fears:
- no new stage for M
- a shuffle putting Milky in BII (I don't think they're ready for it yet though, especially now that BII is starting to form their own identity)

Predictions:
- Rikanyan graduation

Prediction
Kishino Rika graduates
Ichikawa Miori permanent transfer to Team Bii
Some Bii members graduate
Nagisa Shibuya, Nakano Reina, Odan Mai and more 4th Gen promotion

Himawarigumi stage 2 is free... and I think H1 is free too. What of A6, K6 and B5?

Miorin remains Senbatsu (now as BII representative)
Murashige spotlight

prediction:
Murashige theater only performances and no variety D:

fear: no more Miorin senbatsu

 

You know, this could happen if they left her in Guam for the rest of the year to marvel over the size of food servings. She'd definitely be able to track down one of those double cheeseburgers wrapped in grilled cheese sandwiches somewhere.

 

Everything I didn't want to happen more or less did happen, surprisingly.
