Hopes, Fears, and Predictions for 2016 (NMB48)

With 2015 coming to a close. I figure we could do the stage48 yearly tradition (recently for all of the groups).

So what are your hopes, fears, and Predictions for 2016 with NMB48?

Here are the past ones.
2015 - 2014

 

Hopes:
Continued improvement for everyone in general, but I'm most looking forward to seeing how Rachel and Shuu do personally. Though there are a lot of members with some nice momentum that will make them worth watching (like Uuka, Coco, Yuuri, Azusa). Miire is an interesting wild card to me.

Fears:
I have no fears left.

Predictions:
Azusa airdrop center

 

Hopes

-drop the Riripon push and push KaKaRi instead
-Mirurun officially named NMB's top3
-Fuuchan gains momentum again
-Aika & Yuuri ranks in SSK
-Azusa becomes Senbatsu member
-Saepii out of senbatsu and will never enter senbatsu again cause she's just a waste of time and space
-Milky-centered single
-Milky gets 2 PBs this year
-Mirurun & Akarin gets a PB
-5th gen
-Akarin & Shuu ranks in NG
-Mirurun ranks in upper UG
-Team M use the old Shimada M system with Mirurun as Team M member with highest position in senbatsu but Fuuchan's the one who centers Team M songs/stages
-same with BII

Fears

-less NMB members rank in SSK
-the whole 48g is too small for Sayanee so she decided to conquer the whole world as a soloist and graduates
-Saepii's still in senbatsu
-Aapon, Momoka, Umechan graduates

Predictions

-Aika ranks in SSK
-Azusa or Uuka airdrop center
-Macchun kennin with NMB
-Milky ranks #8/9
-Sayanee ranks #4
-5th gen
-a big concert but not Kyocera dome since it's still too large to sell out for NMB

 

Hopes

• Sayanee Solo Single Debut (Will be here until it happens lol)
• Something like SKE48 did with Love Crescendo (With Sayanee, Fuuko, Miru, Riripon, Shu, Miyuki)
• Osaka Dome Concert
• 3 Singles
• Original Stage (Team M or BII)
• Uemura Azusa a solo Team M song on a single.

Fears

• Miyuki Announces Graduation
• Another 9 member senbatsu for a single

Predictions

• NMB48 Solo Osaka Dome Concert
• Riripon centers another single (with Sayanee)
• Original Stage (Team M or BII)
• Geinin 4
• Sayanee Top 4 in SSK.
• Jo Eriko and Uemura Azusa enter senbatsu full time
• Umechan, Momoka graduate
• NMB48 5th Generation Announced

 

Hopes:

• Yoshimoto starts releasing Blu-rays
• More NMB48 members rank in SSK, less crying Sayanee
• Sayanee solo single
• Uemura Azusa, Hayashi Momoka, Akashi Natsuko, Naiki Kokoro and Hongo Yuzuha enter senbatsu
• Saito Makiko transferred to Team N
• Fujie Reina concurrent position in Team 4
• Keicchi and Miru rank in UG
• Milky in Kami7
• Nagi and Yoshida rank in NG
• Kondo Rina senbatsu comeback (and more gravure too)
• More NMB Oshi stuff purchaseable at AKB Group Shop official
• New photobooks for Shiroma Miru and Yoshida Akari
• Yoshida Akari and Jonishi Kei in AKB Senbatsu and eventually NMB wCenter Senbatsu

Fears

• Umeda Ayaka graduates as a member of NMB48
• The SSK Crisis continues and Sayanee cries again for the third straight year
• More PVs with too much Sayanee screentime and too little for the rest

Predictions

• Shuffle
• Kennins
• NMB48 Solo Concert in Osaka Kyocera Dome
• 5th generation

 

Predictions

• Sayaka ranks in 3rd or 4th rank.
• Miky's rank goes higher.
• Miru ranks in UG.
• Kawakami Chihiro, Naiki Kokoro & Nakano Reina makes their senbatsu debut.
• Sayaka get her 1st solo single.
• Umechan ann grad.
• Azusa center her own song.
• Yuuri rank in UCG.
• Keicchi ranks in UG.
• Jo rank too.

 

Hopes:

• Sayaka solo single (I think we can all agree on this)
• original stages
• Sub-units? IDK how I'd feel about it, but I'm not against the idea
• Something special like "Must Be Now", but different concepts u know
• More NMB girls get into SSK

Fears:

• Less NMB girls make it into SSK (lol)
• someone big announces graduation (either Milky, Sayaka, or maybe someone like Miru...not as big, but noticeable)
• Lemon-sama graduates (probs my biggest fear)
• Management relies too much on Sayaka
• Shuffle (the teams are great right now)

Predictions:

• Someone out of the blue center's another single
• Jo Eriko makes her full-return to NMB (like more staple senbatsu member and possibly ranks in SSK)
• Milky stays in Senbatsu
• Sayaka goes up in her ranking (that's if she doesn't graduate)
• more photobooks

 

Hopes:

- M or BII Original Stage
- Another 9-nin Senbatsu
- Sayanee breakthrough of top 3 in SSK
- Milky first stable senbatsu spot in SSK
- Miru (and/or) Fuuchan got into top 32 in SSK
- Some new name get ranked in SSK(Maokyun, Mirei, etc)

Fears:

- Shuffle (It has become yearly routine if happens)
- 1st gen mass graduation(6th year is where AKB has their first major mass member grad, SKE has it prematurely)
PS: The real trigger is Sayanee, I can see many member grad following her when that happen.
- It will be a year where NMB got stagnant or too mainstream

Predictions:

- Another girl graduating in first quarter of year, possibly for study reason.
- Another kennin girl from NMB, I suspect from team N.

Well, will add more later. This post need thorough reflection, indeed.

 

Hopes:
-Sayanee solo single!!! Please happen
-Sayanee and Milky both rank up in SSK
-Mirurun ranks in UG
-Nagisa ranks in Next Girls
-More NMB girls rank in SSK
-Geinin 4
-Jo becomes regular senbatsu member
-Rikanyan, Jo, Reina, Kanae, Emichi, and/or Chihhii ranks

Fears:
-Miorin and/or Airi falls out of the rankings

Predictions:
-NMB continues to be underrepresented in SSK
-Sayanee ranks 3rd or 4th
-Milky ranks 10th or so
-Either Sayanee or Milky announces graduation
-Umechan will graduate or have announced graduation
-Riripon ranks

 

Hopes:
- Sayanee solo concert
- Milky solo concert
- Another small senbatsu for at least one of the singles like Must Be Now, this time focusing on a different concept (instead of dance)
- A new NMB variety show on national TV (They could do with a bigger media presence and not depend on say YNN or Kawaiian TV)
- A Nagisa centered single (she has centered a song for NMB before, but it wasn't an A-side) with SayaMilky on the flanks

Fears:
- Milky graduating
- Nagisa graduating (She turns 20 next year which is a very dangerous age, and the age where a lot of idols consider graduating. Also, the fact that she knows clearly what her ambition for the future is...there is a chance she might pull the graduation trigger...)
- NMB management don't do anything innovative and release bland singles instead
- 5th Generation. I personally prefer the draft system because there is a limit of members they can take in for that. Seriously, they already have more than enough members to deal with.

Predictions:
- More of 1st gen graduating
- A new Milky photobook release
- Sayanee solo single (she did mention in her mobame she's been working on things, so there is actually a realistic chance for that)
- Another one or two new center experiments

(I honestly can't think anymore XD)

 

NMB48 Hopes:

• Milky stays in the Senbatsu in SSK (breaks into top 10)
• Saepii and Haru both rank in SSK
• Maachun returns to NMB (she's wasted in AKB!)
• New stages finally for Team M and Team BII (please!!!!)
• Nana Yamada returns (I know it won't happen but I've still not got over her leaving!)

NMB48 Fears:

• Mass graduation
• Sales decline
• Still no new stages

NMB48 Predictions:

• New stages finally appear
• Umechan will graduate

 

Hopes:

• Jo-chan enters SSK
• Jo-chan becomes NMB senbatsu regular
  
• Sayanee follows Jurina's example and stops the kennin
• more members ranking in SSK
• Geinin Season 4 (though without Nana don't think it would be the same)

Fears:

• Sayanee graduation announcement

Predictions:

• Sayanee solo release (maybe even co-written)
• more NMB members ranking in SSK but lower rankings in general
• Sayanee ranking 4th in SSK (1/2 Mayuyu and Sashi, 3rd Jurina)
• 2 single releases with 1 "regular"ish size senbatsu and 1 different (either much smaller or larger)

 

Hopes :
- Saayanee make it to top 4
- Fuuko make it to senbatsu
- Milky going to has a duet single with mayuyu. (omg they're going to be cute WWatanabe)

Fears :
no fears identified

Prediction :
- Mily make it to top 10 on sousenkyo
- Sayanee is really going to make it to top4
- Sayanee's solo single confirmed
- Umeda annunce her graduation

 

Hopes:

• Miruki center
• Riripon center
• Miruki top 10
• Sayanee gets 4th
• Good a-sides
• Miruki pb
• Riripon and yuuri rank, and rank well, like around the 40-60 range
• Geinin 4, and as always it's hella funny

Fears:

• Big name grad, either miruki or sayanee
• Sales go down
• Miruki doesn't get into top 10
• Low ssk representation

Predictions:

• 1 avg song, the rest really good
• Sales go down a bit
• Sayanee 5th
• Miruki 9th
• Sayanee/Miruki don't graduate
• Riripon/yuuri rank in and mirurun gets higher position, but NMB still worst represented group
• No more center for riripon
• Geinin 4, and as always it's hella funny

 

Hopes:
- Another experimental senbatsu like MBN, something like Kamonegix would be good
- More NMB girls ranked in SSK, more girls ranked in UG please
- Maachun return to NMB, whether as kennin or permanent member
- Original stages
- Single with Konomin directing the choreography

Fears:
- Premature graduation of young member
- Another pointless kennin like Yukirin to NMB or Milky to SKE

Predictions:
- Geinin 4
- New stages for all team, I predict it will be announced on team concerts
- Team shuffle
- New kennin/transfer to NMB, and not a pointless one (hopefully)
- 5th generation
- Milky centered song

 

Hopes:

• MAACHUN RETURNS

1. Yuppi graduates (i don't see any point for her to be here any longer)
2. Saepii receives a better push along with Yuuri and Azusa
