Hopes, Fears, and Predictions for 2018

I'm not sure two posters is enough to be called new trend to hate T8.
And little bit correction, we actually don't hate Hana, we fears Hana. Besides, I don't think Hana will browse S48.

 

Hopes:

• Sakura & summer singles are back.
• Sayaya back to senbatsu on 51st single & afterwars, also makes surprise on sousenkyo.
• Megu makes senbatsu on 51st single and afterwards, also makes surprise on sousenkyo.
• Ogiyuka keeps on senbatsu, at least keep her position.
• AKB48 only single? Not bad. I hope Sayaya & Megu are in.
• Janken back to normal. Please, this year janken was the shittiest ever.

Predictions:

• Jurina may win sousenkyo but there's chance that someone will tackle her.
• Graduation of at least one top member, Yukirin? Miichan?.

Fears:

• Sayaya not back to senbatsu and getting worse result.
• Megu still neglected by management and getting a bad result.
• Ogiyuka becomes one hit wonder and got significant drop.
• AKB48 isn't ready for more graduations of older top members.

 

Hopes:

• Sousenkyo related hopes:
  • Kato Rena reaches Senbatsu (or Undergirls center).
  • Nakano Ikumi enters Top 80.
  • Goto Moe enters Future Girls or Next Girls.
• Jitoe Nene re-enters HKT48 senbatsu.
• Another UZA/Must be now/Kamonegix type single.
• STU48's theater opens.
• NGT48's 1st Gen KKS finally get promoted.
• New stages (I know it probably ain't gonna happen, but it doesn't hurt to hope)

Fears:

• More wrestling.
• Some I like ends up going to Mexico.
• Motomura Aoi drops in rank again.

Predictions:

• STU48 forms Team SII? (since SNH isn't part of the 48 family anymore) and TIII at the same time.
• First member to be born after AKB's formation. (there's already someone in the D3 pool who was born a week after AKB's debut)
• Oguri Yui centers an AKB48 A-side.

 

Hopes :

• SSK ranking is extended to 96 or 100
  
• More Team 8 girls rank in top 80
• SSK top 16 is taken over by AKB
• SSK in indoor venue
• An AKB girl takes the SSK crown back

17th gen
Janken tournament goes back to top 16 being in senbatsu (very slim but whatever)
Mmgt selected Under Girls B-sides (also very slim)
Sasshi gets overthrown in SSK
Team songs for B-sides (or something to get all the members in a single, there are still members who haven't appeared in a single since Tsubasa wa Iranai)
A senbatsu with heavy focus on young/next gen (if they still wanted to put old members, they could but in the back row or something)
Naru in senbatsu (still the highest-ranking Team 8 member in SSK yet it seems like mmgt is picking all the Team 8 members but Naru)
Fears
A lot more graduations
Lack of/Minimal Team K representation in senbatsu (only Kojimako, Komiharu, + Miichan I can think would mmgt wanna push... Tomu opting out of SSK I feel would give mmgt justification to not put her in anything (or anywhere that she deserves) like they pretty much do anyway)
Star-studded Team A (Annin, Katorena, Miion, Yuihan, Yuiyui, Rinrin probably being the mmgt favorites) will prevent other members from actually getting the push they need/deserve (just like 2014)
Predictions
At least one AKB48 single gets outsold by a Nogizaka46 single (unless the latter has already peaked, which I doubt... and it looks like Nigemizu might actually outsell Shoot Sign since it got a 10k boost today in daily charts, leaving only 30k left... also AKB48's 2017 singles sold less than 2016 singles)

Hopes:
More Naachan stuff. That's all I really want at this point.

Fears:
Naachan graduates before rising to the pinnacle of idol-dom.

Predictions:
The 48 group collapses in on itself thanks to its advanced mass and causes the heat death of the universe.
I have finally reached an AKB fan's final form. Apathy about everything except their oshimen.

Hopes
- A song make people around the world care about AKB48 again
- No major fan wars between wotas & kpop stans during Produce48
- Foreign groups get allowed to release their own songs (like 1 album per year or something like that)
Yeah a girl can dream....
- An Asian tour (gotta stabilise their conquered territories)

Fears
- A big scandal caused by the management/fans reaction harm the reputation of the 48G around the world (again)
- The Mexican drama is a total failure

Predictions
- Fans forget about the member who was sent to Mexico
- No big changes in SSK
- Fans continue to bash Hana & Team 8
- Another sister group is announced
- Some problems arise concerning AKB China
- People decide to bring back the past scandals of the group during Produce48

 

No one bashed Team 8 though? Most of us love the Eitos.

 

It just how it feels to me, people aren't really positive concerning their place in the 48G nor their future as a Team
