Hopes, Fears and Predictions for AKB48 2013?

Deleting my post from the previous thread and putting it here instead:

Predictions:
-Barring a scandal or illness, Tomochin will be the next one to graduate in 2013. She has enough stuff going on outside AKB and an established solo career, plus I don't think she'd be afraid to be the first one to stir the pot and it's not like she goes to theater performances anyway

-Nakamata Shiori will graduate due to low fanbase and wanting to focus on her studies.

-KKS will get promoted to the open spots in teams. Whether it will be early or late in the year depends on the plan for the KKS stage I guess. More a given than a prediction though.

-AKB singles will continue to be million sellers because fans just don't want to let go of that million mark (this isn't realistic but it could happen).

-Another girl gets a solo project, perhaps Matsui Rena or someone else from a sister group.


Fears:
-More than one of the Kami 7/8 graduates (scary thought)

-Takamina's solo project doesn't do well (scarier thought for me)

-Wasamin/Sakiko graduates to focus on her enka/piano career.

-DiVA will be dissolved and no new songs will ever be released. I don't know what they'll do if Yuttan can't participate anymore anyhow.

-Relations with China break down due to more government tension and SNH goes rogue/Sae and Mariyannu have a hard time in some way.


Hopes:
-Aki-P is good on his word for new AKB stages. I personally would like to see a naming song for Team A along the lines of 16nin shimai, and think it would be nice if B had a gothloli unit song.

-The AKB KKS who are promoted include Hirata Rina and Okada Nana.

-Original stage for NMB at least, if not both NMB and HKT.

-SNH is a success and there are no management problems between AKS and China. JKT continues to be a success and management stops being problematic, as I hear it is sometimes.

-After the new material for the established groups is released (hopefully in the first half of 2013), the 2nd half could see the establishment of a new group, perhaps Sapporo or Taipei finally.

-More solo projects, I'd like to see Kuramochi Asuka, Yamamoto Sayaka or Furukawa Airi get one.

-A new unit consisting of newer-gen AKB girls like AnRiRe. Depending on agency, but ideally containing any of these members: Tanochan, Ricchan, Paru, Haruu, Ranran, Karen, Ryouka.

-Wild hope: Announcement of 3rd season of AKB0048 (probably not gonna happen but a girl can dream)

-More JKT/SNH involvement in stuff like variety shows and concerts, maybe teach them a little Japanese or something. Give them proper PVs and original songs. I'd like to see them more often. This one is maybe asking too much though

LOL. Yes this is pretty much a certainty.

I am so scared for Rino in 2013. She'll drop. That's almost guaranteed, but by how much? I really, reaaaally want her to stay in senbatsu.

 

hope :
- Sayaka won't graduate before election and back into (backdancers) senbatsu.
- Yuttan still with DiVA
- SDN48 Reunion
- Meetan, nontii and ex- AKB/SDN perform Blue rose/End roll @RH 2013
- Tanamin rank in the election

Prediction :
- Mariko, sayaka, Mieko( SKE ), natsumii, kana, or Micha graduate
- Jurina fully transferred to AKB Team K
- Sasshi's rank will drop but not out from senbatsu
- Old generation Mass graduate

Fears :
- Sayaka graduate

 

Hopes:
- Jurina ranks 1st in the senbatsu election
- New stages for all Teams
- Milky makes senbatsu in the election
- Paruru makes senbatsu in the election
- Mayu becomes new permanent center
- SKE48 Team shuffle
- Team N gets their own original stage
- NMB48 conquers the whole world

Fears
- Jurina graduates due to very poor health
- No new stages and they continue doing Waiting Stages
- All their singles sound like crap and sell badly
- Yuko graduates

Predictions
- NMB48 overtakes SKE48 as the dominant sister group
- Yuko graduates
- Another member will get a solo debut
- Moar sister groups
- NMB's first album will be awesome

 

Oh god no...just no (no offense, but NMB is not near SKE's level yet, much less for dominant sister group)

 

hope :
- SDN48 Reunion with additions from existing bunch but focus on a slightly more mature audience/music.
- Another iconic Hebirote type release.
- Iwasa Misaki 2nd single sales achieve 60+

Prediction :
- Additional revelations will see Sasshi expelled.
- One other expelled.
- Increasing numbers of earliest generation graduate.
- Iwasa Misaki third single achieves 80+ sales.
- Iwasa Misaki enka album at end of year.
- Resurrection of Takajo Aki popularity to previous levels
- Serious economic downturn puts pressure on economy and AKB sales.

Fears :
- Mass exodus of early generations leading to further shuffling and confusion.
- More dud releases
- Loss of understanding of AKB formula.
- Increasing use of techno crap in music releases, especially on voices.
- AKB move toward Kpop style production.
- Yuko's graduation.
- Major physical or mental breakdown of a popular member. (wonder we haven't seen this already)

 

Hahaha!! lol, well you never know...I mean NMB has been gaining a lot of popularity lately, but I guess your right, I doubt they're anywhere near SKE's level...not yet at least [shock]

 

Hope

- Watanabe Miyuki will end up in Mayuyu's oshiri in the upcoming Senbatsu election. She is that good.

- Murashige Anna (HKT) will rank in the elections. That girl is brilliant, she does stuffs that the Japanese don't.

- Miyawaki Sakura (HKT) will become a young woman from a little girl in this year and we will all die of her perfectness.

- More boobs in NMB! Kojima Natsuki transfer.

- The g+ Engrish translators will be fired.



Predictions

- 2012 = 2013 in terms of profit maximalization. As the Akimoto system reaches its limits more and more problem will surface on every level. Crappy songs and delayed stages for example. Older unpopular members mass graduation.

- Some of the AKB top girls will graduate.

- Hirata Rina will be promoted. This is something that has to be done.

- AKB won't open toward the European and American markets in this year either. Less live streams and presents on g+ will continue to decline.



Fears

- This SNH group won't work out because the Japanese are incompetent and they just want another copy of AKB there instead of a real group. Which would be a shame because I like Chinese girls.

- Insane push for Meru in HKT will continue.

 

Hopes:
- The leading system changes. Every single will be Wcenter except for the election single and the janken single. No girl cannot be center for 2 singles in a row.
- Yuko graduates after election single.
- Yukirin stablishes her solo career and graduates at the end of the year.
- Tomomi releases another solo single and graduates ala Kasai.
- Kodama is put into senbatsu to help promote HKT.
- HKT singles are amazing and remind us all of the old AKB.
- Another sister group in Japan based in the north (Sapporo maybe?)
- Unit with WMatsui + Sayanee + Miyuki + Kodama (the heads of every sister group).
- Solos and units coming from the sister groups (it seems those are for AKB ONLY).
- Unit with the new Kami7 that performed Skirt, Hirari in Tokyo Dome (more love for the new girls)
- Transfers FROM SNH and JKT INTO AKB.
- Original stages for all the teams.

Fears:
- Nothing changes.
- Nobody leaves.
- Yuko, Mayu and Jurina get the center spot all the time.
- Still Waiting Stages.

 

I've got a bad feeling about the next general election...I have a feeling the positions of the senbatsu are gonna change dramatically...

Where rising members are gonna take over the roles in the Kami 8, and the balance in AKB will slowly start to shift power [shock]

 

Hopes
Itano Tomomi & Shinoda Mariko graduate
HKT48's first single is a great song that sells well
Yuko is center for 30th single
SNH48 actually does something
Kawaei Rina continues to be pushed
Iriyima Anna gets ranked in sousenkyou


Fears
Shimazaki continues to be pushed and actually scores higher ranking in sousenkyou
Mayu is center in everything
Jurina's health causes her to suspend activities or possibly graduate
Yukirin's ranking drops in sousenkyou
AKB48's million-sales streak is broken

 

Hope:
-Yuko graduates
-Mayu ranks #1 in 2013 sousenkyo
-Paruru gets into senbatsu ranking
-Sayanee and Matsui Rena enter senbatsu ranking
-Jurina's health improves drastically so she's not in danger anymore
-New stages for AKB48 (they need it the most)
-Another big single like Heavy Rotation or Manatsu

Predictions:
-Mayu gets #1 in 2013 sousenkyo
-SNH48 gets started on activities
-Akimoto Sayaka graduation (I mean seriously after being pushed back so much you can't blame her)
-Another 1st generation member leaves
-NMB48 rises in popularity
-Another member gets a solo debut
-AKB gets another chance at appealing to US market (like Sugar Rush)

Fears:
-Yuko is still at #1
-Nobody new gets into senbatsu
-AKB continues releasing disappointing singles
-Jurina graduates or gets hospitalized due to poor health
-No new team stages
-SNH48 doesn't do well
-More prominent members are pushed back
-Paruru doesn't get into senbatsu

 

Hopes
The group will become less gimmicky.
TPE & SHN will make their debut.
JKT will release their own original song.
Good songs.

Fears
The songs with get worse. AKB hasn't had an amazing song in a very long time and apart from GIVE ME FIVE all the songs that were released in 2012 were almost exactly the same.
Aki-p will try to break into the Korean market. I wouldn't put it past him since he tried it with SDN.

Predictions
Their sales will slowly continue to drop.
A few more solo debuts.
Asian tour.
There will be a mass graduation of 1st & 2nd Gen members.
New generations will come along and take over.

 

Hopes

AKB is successful this year
If any member graduate, they graduate not because of a scandal
Takahashi Minami goes up in rank for senbatsu
For Takamina's solo to be successful
The new singals will be amazing

Like some, I'm afraid if her solo won't do well
Mass graduation of 1-3 gen members
More scandals

 

Hopes

12th gen get push
Better songs
SNH do well in China and JKT rise in popularity. Also at least one new songs for both
HKT Murashige make it into UG or senbatsu
The boring pretty faces in new gen develop more personalities.
Sister groups storm senbatsu ranking to motivate AKB members.
AKB lose a little of their popularity, just enough~ to make AkiP do things to improve the group and make them more interesting.
Yuko get vote center again.
Jurina crack Kami7 [clap]
Tomochin rise in in rank
Everyone's solo to do well
No shady promotion like the Puccho CM or kami pantsu
For one single, promote with a double A side, one with senior members and one with juniors members.

Fears

Paruru make senbatsu
1st, 2nd, or 3rd gen graduation
AkiP continue to promote dead and boring girls
Senior members get screw over for the juniors
Jurina going to the ER.
AKB stick to their generic sounding songs like Gingham , Manatsu or Eien and instead of improving the songs, management prefer to spend the budget on fancy PVs

Predictions

Mid gens mass graduate because there's no future for them in the group.

French Kiss's new single and album (promised last year, but cancelled )
Yukirin's solo do well and rise votes in sosenkyou and rank is rising too

New, awesome stages for all teams
AKB renews itself to continue its success, old Kami graduate (pls don't kill me )
The million streak is broken and AkiP knows that AKB needs to transform itself
Amina lands awesome jobs outside AKB, gets into senbatsu and then graduates before the single as revenge for her poor treatment in AKB as the only girl who get senbatsu by elections


Fears:
More tabloids target AKB with scandals
AKB fails to renew itself and the Kami keep appearing in single, ranking high in elections and AKB becomes a boring group
AKB continues to sell millions but with fewer fans and the public grow boring with AKB

 

Hopes:

Regarding specific members:

*Meru ranks in election and officially proves herself as the ace of HKT 2nd Gen [rock]
*Tomochin holds on to her rank or rises
*Miorin gets a seiyuu role or gets to sing an anime theme
*Zhang YuGe gets more attention in SNH
*Olivia is made the ace/center of JKT 2nd Gen
*Wasamin's rank rises significantly and she releases another single this year
*Renachi continues to be pushed and fans finally warm up to her
*Paruru improves more in performance and becomes less painful to watch
*Jurina's election votes increase once again

Regarding the group(s):

*Less stupid gimmicks to sell singles and more actual quality releases.
*New stages
*Less sister group involvement
*HKT's debut is awesome, perfect, and sales are wonderful
*NYC48

Fears:

Regarding specific members:

*Meru and Renachi's pushes fail
*Tomochin continues to hover in between the idol/mainstream artist threshold and her popularity suffers
*Miorin gets about as much exposure as she did last year (in other words, barely any)

Regarding the group(s):

*Mgmt will continue to make stupid decisions that make me want to smash my keyboard
*More inter-group transfers
*JKT continues to pretend like 2nd gen doesn't exist
*HKT's debut sucks and fails

Predictions:

Regarding specific members:

*Yuihan breaks Top Ten in election
*Mocchi is the "dark horse" of this election
*Sasshi remains in the Top 8
*Sayaka graduates
*Matsubara graduates
*At least (1) Kami level graduation (either Yuko or Tomochin or both)

Regarding the group(s):

*More stupid gimmicks to sell singles and less quality releases
*Mgmt makes more decisions that make me want to smash my keyboard
*This election single will fail to outdo Managuu
*Million-a-week sellers will stop by the October single
*N3 (and every other new stage that is due) will get delayed into infinity
*The umbilical cord between the sister groups and AKB gets tighter and tighter
*More sudden exits from lower ranked AKB girls
*More KKS graduations
*More unexpected exits from NMB, SKE, and HKT members
*Fans will still bitch and moan about Renachi and Paruru's pushes while not a word will be said against Mayuyu or Ricchan or any other "well liked" girl.

 

One other prediction:

SNH48 by the end of 2013 will cause a very harsh light to be shone on the quality of AKB48, causing some actions to be planned, and an evolution in how AKB creates its top members.
