1. Check the 2023 Stage48 Member Ranking Results, how did your Oshimen rank this year?

Is Stage48 the main info center for 48G around the world?

First, I can't find any other forum that is bigger or busier than this one. Also, I noticed that Sakura was called Princess here first then I notice others starting to use that nickname for her, and the term 48G was used here first before it caught on elsewhere. I think that makes us the main AKB info place for the English speaking world.

Remember the good ol' days when Everyday48 existed and N*hongogo was still half alive?
Not that I would dare to call it any of these places "info centers" to any extent.

And isn't 48G just a direct translation of AKB48グループ which is used to encompass all groups as a whole?

In English speaking fandom probably yes, but in the world no. There are the Viet, Thai, Russian, Chinese (Canto, Mando), Indonesian, Korean, Brazilian, Indian, French (you name it) communities etc etc

Like Mario said, English community, yes. But other bigger or roughly same size communities that I've come across are Chinese (mainly that Taiwan FB group) and Indonesian based. Haven't seen much other large 48G based communities though.

In that Taiwan FB group's case, their amount of members is double Stage's. There are also quite a lot of posts and interactions every day.

Right but the shortening of AKB48G to 48G was done here first.

I think eventually anyone will figure a way to write short hands and refer to stuff, doesn't necccesarily mean because we started using certain terms first means we are the leader of something.

    Why?

Btw I wonder if some of the girls check out this forum sometimes to find what international fanbase think about them:hehe:

Isn't our Wiki the first result that pops up on Google when you search (in romaji) any of the girls?
Some must have stumbled with the website, even if they couldn't figure out what was being said.

I know Togasaki knew about the forum because HRP asked him and looks like the former manager acknowledged our existence.

It does but not the first. It only pops up first when you constantly search a member up and/or click on wiki48 lol
