Karin announced on her blog that she is leaving Shogi Focus at the end of March.

Could be a sign that she will be graduating from Nogizaka this year. Personally I wouldn't be surprised if we see a couple of 2nd gens leaving this year.

 

I can see that coming tbh. But even it isn't surprising, it still hurt to see members leaving.
Karin and Shinuchi, i believe it's their last year as Nogi member.

 

I'm freaked out associating "graduation" with Karin. I didn't think it would bother me, but it has. I read that the shogi show was just turning over the hosting crew like they did when Karin-chan started four years ago. But "graduation" and an idol you admire just nerve wracking. I think her blog says she's gonna be writing more. Looking forward to that. With Misa-senpai graduating, we need Karin's voice in Nogi more.

She says she hasn't decided her future but she'll take a break for now, however she'll complete the 4th album HS events. (and for me that's good news as a I have a ticket for her at Makuhari Messe on 5/1.)

Well that's a bummer. She's one of my favorite member, great personality and probably the best mc in the group. Hope she stays in the shogi world, she seems to have a name already in that world

Graduation of my 2nd Gen oshimen saddens me. Karin, I thought I was gonna get some wonderful pictures from when you and Ikuta travel this year. I was looking forward to your first selection. I was hoping for suika to be there til the end. Now...

It's been a while since we've had a member graduate without making senbatsu. I know she loved doing Under Lives, but she should've been rewarded some more exposure with a singles selection. After all, she's one of the best members behind the scenes. She was our photo journalist for a bit...

I will miss her. She is just like mom for under member. Pretty much leader after Rarin left.

More reason to anticipate 4th album. She has her final song in Sayuringo Gundan.
