This might be one of the most artistic PB ever for Nogi (or ex-Nogi) members

 

I hope it's just me seeing things, but since her exhibition there is a lot of eerie symbolism and gestures in her work, which worries me a bit. I can only hope she is not hanging out with the wrong crowd.

Sorry for the delay.

It's a bit of a difficult topic to explain, and I am not going into depth here, but for a couple of years I have been reading about the darker side of the entertainment industry (by which I mean the more controlling/abusive part).
These people tend to use a couple of symbols over and over, and can be seen a lot in American and Korean pop music. However, since Marika's exhibition and after that also with Marika and Creators, I noticed that two of these symbols appear a lot in her work. These are the one eye (mostly by covering the other eye) and the butterfly.

Furthermore, this photo where she is lying seemingly wasted in her underwear (from Weekly Playboy) creeps me out somewhat.

I don't know how much of this is in her PB, I only have seen the examples online.

Let me emphasize that I am not claiming that she has fallen victim to ill-willed people and that I am not some conspiracy nutjob, but the abundance of some of the before mentioned symbolism makes me feel a bit uneasy.
I just hope it is all a product of Marika's artistic mind.

 

@Seditious85 ... thanks, I appreciate you sharing your thoughts. I know what the one eye symbol means but the butterfly, don't know anything negative that it symbolize.
We can't be sure if the one eye is done on purpose, I mean if she or they made her pose in a manner that will show the one eye symbol. Can't comment much on the butterfly. Clearly we can see butterfly. But like I said, I don't know anything negative it could represent.
The picture of her in undies, well, I expect she will pose wearing those and more in her PB so I can't also comment further. I'm not much of an art person and some of her works does looks eerie, the time lapse video for example (at least to me).
But like you said, let's just hope it's just the result of her artistic mind. Thanks again...

 

Oh wow. Marika is such an artist. "Hajimarika," is a sweet sendoff for her, and it's fitting that it's done as a long take to match that artistic soul of hers. And as for "Toy"... whoa. That was intense. She's a really good performer, and it's a shame we didn't get to see her in the spotlight enough in Nogizaka. But if this is any indication, it looks like Marika will be able to flourish. It's also great that they're promoting her solo work.

 

Wow, bless Nogizaka management. She is already an ex-member but they still give Marika the chance to display what she is about. The first one is eerie, and that first scene is very un-idolish, but I guess now that she is no longer an idol she wants to break off that image? And perhaps Sony doesn't mind either with this display of imagery and tone?

Hajimarika, is amazing. Very Individual PV-ish. Marika was my oshimen, and I still respect her a lot. Good luck for her.
