^ Careless mistake on my behalf. My brain was processing it as 一番 目に好きな メンバー I was scratching my head a little bit, but I thought "must be 若者言葉"
Can anyone confirm if I read it I get it right like AKB48 is going to have monthly newspaper or column from Nikkansports.
The 32-page AKB48 newspaper (Gekkan AKB48 Group Shinbun) has been released monthly since December last year.
I followed a link in Fujie Reina's blog and ended up in this site ... http://www.wild-strawberry.com/ws/shigawaka/ Is that an ad for a movie? And is Reinyan in a starring role? (since her name has large font used) Also, is there any indication as to what kind of movie that is? Thanks in advance.
Does it says something like there's a sealed interview of Hirajima Natsumi regarding the scandal? Please do confirm if I read it wrong again!?
That's right. According to the CD release information, it will be included only in Type-C of Mayuyu's coming single.
Oh, quite a controversial content. Surely the Nacchan fans or rather some her former fans will like to hear that. Thanks!
Hello dear people. I'm tired and it seems I can't get the meaning of a sentence for a translation .... It's a Takajo Aki post (here) The text, (the sentence I can't exactly understand or put in English is in bold) : I suppose I will find this stupidly simple in a few hours, but right now I can't wrap my mind around this phrase ... So I would appreciate any help, thank you.
Maybe you solved it already, but it's something like that you can stick those recent compresses on the shoulders smoothly/without getting wrinkled, even alone/by yourself. Or.. how the new compresses are made to not get wrinkled even if you stick them on the shoulders by yourself. Ugh, I can't to say it in a better way. My English...you know. 自分でもシワシワにならないで湿布を肩に貼れる。ってこと。 しわ = wrinkle しわしわ = wrinkled だと思う。
^ Thank you so much ! I wasn't that far, but I was still missing a little something. [boom] I'm sometimes stuck when I have to express in another language something I only "almost" understood. It's very frustrating. Amusing fact : I already knew the word しわ but not the word 'wrinkle' ... Now, on my way to sleep, I'll get back to this translation tomorrow. Thank you again.
can someone translate this to japanese text for me with proper grammer "i would like to see you perform in chicago but i dont meet the age requirements of the venue, (maybe i can find a ride to wisconsin.)" thank you ---------sorry i posted in wrong thread i meant to post this in learn japanese

Gonna do only the romaji ;P The katakana's romaji is according to the singing (some are in the raw/literal form, others in the English transcription of the words). I'm just about through translating "itterasshai" (from 1830m) but there is one line I just cannot figure out the meaning to. It's 自分から気持ちをしゃんとしてよ I think it is a one-off line (not strongly connected to the previous or next line). I have never run across 'shanto suru'. Or possibly it is kimochi wo suru (also which I don't know the meaning of) and shanto is just modifying that. Also it seems to be imperative, or maybe it's not? I'm having issues with this one. There are still holes in my japanese Can anyone help? Thanks.
It's comparable to きちんと or しっかり. You could as well put it as ちゃんと気持ちの整理をする/してから行動する. And yeah, it's an imperative here. In the context of the song I would go for something along the lines of "Get yourself together" / "Collect yourself" / "Sort out your feelings" etc.
Thank you so much ^^ I appreciate it. Now I can finish it! <insecurity> I don't know if my translations are always accurate but I guess it is better than nothing for songs that still don't have translations on the site. Although I have a solid foundation in the language, I wish I could continue my learning somehow to fill in those gaps because there are just some things that need to be learned properly rather than figured out by oneself, but I probably won't be able to unless I get accepted to the JET program this year. </insecurity> Language is difficult but fun
Hey, guys. Just wondering how would you translate this 別れもあれば出会いもある? I mean, it's probably trying to be similar to the kotowaza 会うは別れの始め but in reverse. Just wondering how that would sound more natural in English.
"If there are partings, there are also meetings" I guess is kind of awkward? The nuance in a translation like "There are encounters because there are goodbyes" is probably a little off. I think there are several ways to express the sentiment, probably just depends on which way will serve you best.
