Memi, with her strong legs, jumps at least as high as anyone else, and is among the neatest in flight.

Kakizaki Memi blog: Meals she couldn't tell about on KeyaBINGO. There were problems with the footage shot at the restaurant she chose (in Nagano) so she didn't have a turn giving "mother" a last meal. So she talks about two possible meals in her blog (both from Nagano restaurants, lol).

Memi has a half-hour Showroom broadcast at 8:30pm Japan time Monday evening. Preceded by Kumi, followed by Kage-chan and Sarina.



In other future Memi appearances, she will sing on the hour-long yukata karaoke show that Keyakake will do next Sunday night. The promo at the end of this week's show includes a little bit of a Memi-Kumi duet. The last time I really heard her singing voice clearly was on her auditions over a year ago. Her voice was soft then, but she hit the notes. I look forward to hearing to what extent she has improved with all the training and practice over the past year.

Here's the Kumi-Memi duet from the karaoke contest. Kumi had more trouble hitting the right notes than Memi did, but Shii-chan very kindly pointed out that it was in a key (or a register) that she herself found impossible to sing. It got too low even for Memi, who has the group's second-lowest voice after Kyonko. In fact, as far as simply hitting the notes went, Memi was well above average for the entire group.

On Keyaki Message, recently Memi is wishing us all good night and good morning every day. She has posted pics of herself, of herself with Kage-chan, of her soy-milk carton. And she says that when she was out shopping, she was asked for help by a foreigner, in English. This was a problem because she couldn't understand what was said, but she ended up being able to help them anyway. "English is important," she concluded.

On Showroom broadcasts last year, Memi demonstrated that her English pronunciation was excellent, for a Japanese-speaker. She even pronounced the "L" fairly clearly. But it seems her command of the actual language is not so great.

Kakizaki Memi blog: the Hiragana TV drama starts shooting. Memi says lots of things about it seem difficult, but the whole group will go for it and will definitely make an enjoyable drama.
