According to Yukirin, last time the not-so-nice comments were more lewd and there were some dirty jokes, but this time the topic of those negative comments had shifted to plain bad-mouthing. She lost it around 3:50 when reading a comment "Her age is starting to show, but I still want to hold her".

 

The dark side of YouTube------actually reading comments from trolls and losers who feel they've actually accomplished something if they can make a celebrity feel bad about herself for one moment. I can't believe Yukirin would even lower herself to be bothered with these cretins for a nano-second. But, to her credit, she handled it perfectly.

AKB42? Is this just for Christmas?

 

Yukirin was joking, MSte made a mistake lol. The official account (of Music Station) also replied to her tweet and apologised profusely. Yukirin responded with an apology herself, saying she didn't mean to cause any worries and that the members laughed about it in the dressing room.

 

It made me laugh when I read Yukirin's twitter. and it reminded me of when they didn't recognize Yukirin

 

It must be so much fun hanging around with Yukirin, she's like a 10-year girl at heart when being herself (and she's not performing, or giving out solo concerts...)

Yukirin has reached a stage in her life where she is comfortable showing her natural, non-makeup face. A sign of maturity, I'm sure.

 

I agree but I'm betting it wasn't easy for her. I remember the one time Sayaka appeared in one Yoshida Akari's make-up videos, she had to, of course, begin that video sans make-up and I think it rattled her a bit too. I'm sure many of the girls simply couldn't do it. It takes a huge amount of courage for any woman who's known for her incredibly natural beauty to appear to the world and show her natural face. Trolls, as we all know, can be brutal.

 

I also remember a segment on AKBingo where even the super new members said that, once they became members of AKB, they wouldn't even go for walks with their parents anymore without makeup. I believe students aren't allowed to wear makeup and they showed Yahagi Moeka without makeup, getting ready for school, also on the same show.

Was the event recorded/streamed?

 

There was an episode of AKBingo where the producers kind of ''ambushed'' a bunch of the girls as they got off an elevator and most of the girls were mortified to be seen in their regular casual clothes and without make up. Since there were no subtitles, I didn't really understand why they were doing to the girls, but I remember only the youngest of the members seemed to have no problem showing their natural faces. One of the girls (was it Haruu?) had guns all over her pants and she took all kinds of abuse about that. I felt bad for them.

also, for what it's worth, I found a Yukirin movie on Viki that I had never heard of before. It's called ''Is This Love Checkmate?! It looks really good if the first few minutes are any indication.
