Kashiwagi Yuki (Yukirin)

She actually said "I definitely won't graduate before I turn 30", which made people assume she would graduate when she turns 30.

She recently said "I want to center an AKB48 single before I even think about graduating." In another interview that was released before she turned 30, she also said she'll only graduate if she thinks there are dreams she wants to achieve that aren't possible as part of AKB48. Her current goals are being a center of an AKB48 single, performing at Tokyo Dome with AKB48 (also part of that interview) and being an actress (definitely possible as part of AKB48). She was also asked if she doesn't mind the cutesy outfits of AKB48 uniforms, and she said,

"I want to wear it, if I'm allowed to. I want to be active forever. It's nice to hear people say, 'I used to be an idol' but there isn't anyone who can say 'I'm an idol' in their 40s or 50s, so it would be interesting if I could do that."

When she was asked if she'd ever seriously contemplated graduation, she said, "About four or five years ago, a lot of people were saying 'has the time come?' and 'is Kashiwagi-san next?' but I personally never thought about it."

Because of these interviews and announcements she's made recently, I very much doubt Yukirin will announce her graduation any time soon. I love that she's so confident as an idol even until now (even after she said dancing has become harder). It makes me really happy to see her thrive so much in that environment.

i doubt she will get an album or even a single at this point, this one didn't go so well to justify another one. unless they knew it would sell that low.
which beg the question: did she really has 5k fans or so? did we simply overestimate her popularity?

 

We will have to wait untill the weekly ranking are out to see how well her single really sold, the position untill today were:
March 2nd: 3rd
March 3rd: 8th
March 4th: 6th
March 5th: 12th
Those are not numbers I would call "didn't do so well". Especially since she isn't an established solo artist.

The title translates as 'Important Notice Regarding the Future of Kashiwagi Yuki' and I'm pretty sure she's announcing that Watanabe Junnosuke (who also appears in the video) will continue to work with her as a producer.
