I only voted once this year because it was the first SSK I voted for and I decided to give my vote to Tano... I would like to vote for all of my top three at least once but the cost for an EP plus shipping equals a full album of any western artist I like

How recent is the photo? Was she wearing the bandage during her last SR?

EDIT: Just looked, and no she wasn't. Isn't wearing them in the other pics either. Could be she's wearing fingerless gloves, and just took one off maybe?

Another explanation is that since it healed, the injury throbs when cold -- my forearm ulna/rad break hurt like hell during my sometimes-20degF motorcycle commutes to work in Seattle years ago. Scar tissue is a poor substitute for healthy tissue

 

It was during the rehearsal for last year's AKB Kouhaku. She performed Gonna Jump using power risers and was supposed to do some flips like the professional performers, but she fell down while practicing, hurting her left hand, which made them abort her stunt.

Yeah, I was thinking about it later and indeed, it may be because of the cold. That picture is recent (from the 2nd single shooting) and this is the first winter coming after her accident and her hand may be sensitive. I've broken my hand too (right tho) but I was lucky enough to have no problems with the cold back then, which wasn't that intense anyway, something around -15°C (5°F).

LOL -- well twin-tails and sailor seifuku are definitely JK (女子高生 joshi kousei, or female HS student). At 18 Katomina would technically be in freshman year of college, so this year's the first it's genuinely cosplay for her

There are two ways I'd like to see Katomina's tigress bed her claws in: nailing this and future gravure so there'd be a more adult side to balance her pure image... and in leadership of the group after the painful but inevitable exit of Captain Kitarie from the idoling industry.

No guarantees in either case... but if she manages one, I'll be happy and move her to the front of my 'root for' list for NGT...

As a Minamist, i can assure you she'll nail both 2 things. Well, second one depends on management there, not on her... but yeah, i have all my faith in Katominamism, she WILL succeed.

Well with the second thing, let's say mgmt decides to promote Katomina to Captain, and co-Cap to Ogiyuka...

Though Ogiyuka would rightly stand to inherit the position... if she declines for any reason, and there are many -- one of them being a popular Center -- the only other serious contenders imo would be Hinatan and Katomina... and Hinatan lacks certain qualities de rigeur for a Captain imo. So that leaves Katomina in the big chair...

She has control from the moment of promotion, and that's what I want to watch. She's talked about Takaminamalism at length before -- and this is Katomina's 2009 Team Shuffle moment (when Takamina was first officially appointed Team A captaincy formally).

There are other scenarios far more likely when Kitarie sadly leaves our NGT to move on, and the most palpable is Captain Ogiyuka, and Co-Cap Katomina. Katomina, while I'd love to see her take the ball and run... has no leadership experience of note (readers if I'm forgetting something big and baldly obvious, please feel free to call me on it; I'm here to learn as well ).

Getting the veep slot would allow KM to watch the dynamic and aid/assist just as Ogiyuka had, to get the experience to hop into the chair when needed. If she was astute, observant, and hungry enough and knew all this already, then great. But if not the co-Cap's seat is the best one to have an official capacity to get input from members as well as mgmt and staff, as well as represent the group in outside activities and esp lives.

 

I think that katomina would be a better choice then ogiyuka, tho... Katomina would be great for the job cause she has YEARS of teamwork (with the baton and all) and probably leasdership, since she had to deal with her treiners. All that considered, i think katomina would run a pretty tight ship, and really ask perfection from everyone lol
Ogiyuka is a great girl and center, but i can't see her making the tough decisions a leader has to make

Mystery solved: it turns out that it was all part of the character she played in the PV.

To elaborate further: everyone in the drama has a role of their own. Katomina thought that her character's story was inspired by the real injury she suffered, but when she spoke about it to the director they were apparently unaware she actually broke her arm before.
Instead, they knew that Katomina had communicated in a pretty intense way her frustration for being unable to stand in the place she wanted to be, and that was the meaning of the bandage. The character she played in the PV broke her hand in a way she couldn't seemingly move as she wanted to, and, like herself, couldn't become the future self that she wanted to be.
I don't know if Katomina did it during the same conversation or before, but she also told them how she desires to be the center, so they explained that her character also wanted to become the center but because of this injury she couldn't.
In this case, the injury of the character was just a "reason" to explain why she was unable to achieve her goal, but of course, realizing all the coincidences and hearing how much thought went into it only added to Katomina's amazement.
