As I look at the key visual for the album, I wonder if it directly refers to a double A side, Hiragana below and Kanji above (or vice-versa):

If so, I'm speculating wildly that it could be a Techi song on the one hand and a song with Mirei-Nao-Memi in the middle on the Hiragana side, providing a complete contrast. I know that if we were simply going for ability, it would probably be Mirei-Kyonko-Toshi (or maybe one of the 2gens like Nao or Hina or Konoka would be in there) but it seems to me that management makes these decisions based on image as much as anything, so my hopes are up for youth, beauty, and simplicity. But the Techi side will always be the more popular. Two A-sides might bump up sales a bit, as long as the audience doesn't get confused, and maybe bump up handshake as well, if they expand everyone to 24 lanes. Sony and Aki-P would have to exercise all their PR wiles to get both songs played, however.

More likely, we'll go back to having a Kanji album with 1-2 Gana songs. Gana's had a lot of new songs recently (18), and Kanji now needs some.

Its an idea, I don't think its good to focus on Techi and Mirei now. Maybe it's too early for Techi ?

For me this image is the representation of Keyakizaka46. Two faces.
The green is Kanji Keyakizaka46. Lots of clouds. A disturbed sky. A storm. No peace up there. The rebel side.
Now if you returned the picture, you can see the other face properly.
Hiragana Keyakizaka46. A calm landscape. A flat ground. A beautiful picture with the mountain on background. If you're on the ground, you may feel good in the middle of this landscape. The peace side.

    A double sided picture. A double A-side single ?

Yeah that theory has been going around. Like a lot of other people, I have pretty much given up on any big changes but it would be interesting. I'd still rather Hiragana just split as soon as possible.

If it's a song like Soredemo, any folk song, they might use Kyoko. They won't be pressured to center her though I think. I get the feeling Kyoko doesn't really care that much about center and really just wants solo songs. I could be wrong though. I wasn't following her closely around Soredemo and she is a big fan of Oshima Yuko.

Just for fun, because I have no idea, I'd guess the mostly likely Gana center is Mirei, Nao, then Miho. I hope they pick Hiyori though.

@plus1plus1 -- Hiyori for sure, but not yet. She is still learning, and still highly unpredictable when she speaks. But I've had high hopes for her right from the time of her auditions. Something special, eventually. And you can see her appearance maturing as we speak.

I am wondering if there will be a senbatsu selection show. We are getting within a month of release, so they are surely already working on the song. Or songs: perhaps there may be a Hiragana senbatsu selection show, too. If there is a show (or shows -- KeyaKake and GanaOshi) it has already been recorded.... Do we see any indications of who's front or who's back from members' reactions in blogs or Message or publicity? But there might well be no senbatsu show -- for the sake of the members' states of mind, and since there was none last time.

That's a fair point. Hiyori is still my personal favorite for center though. At least, if we had to pick from 2nd gen.

    Goods info was added: http://www.keyakizaka46.com/s/k46o/news/detail/G00060?ima=0000

They are going further with that sun (Keyaki) and moon (Gana) metaphor and actually adding it to the products. (I might have the metaphor backwards though...)

i wasn't sure if it was a one time thing like Yuipon and her mini drama, but looking at the cast it looks serious. She's gonna play with kawatani enon.

I hope he won't corrupt her...

hiragana seems a good way to divide 2 group of girls, creating 2 diff level/color/type.
    compare to nogi under.
but then there will be no top without bottom...
to make one thing better, there's should be one that worse..
my biggest question of all is,
how when 2nd gen girls finally arrive?
will it be under in kanji? can't imagine if they sing and dance with more than 21 girls.
how you're gonna playing this Akimoto sensei..

In the audition adverts at least they're playing Kanji and Hiragana as separate groups.

And the moon is above the sun... I thought of that as feminine above masculine, but this other metaphor is amazing -- if it is Gana as the moon.

Seems like good reaction from fans to the shirts, and quizzical to the oddly-shaped (and expensive) penlights. People are making fun of a mock-up of what the well-dressed Republic-goer might wear:

    [IMG] [IMG]

The flag is pretty strong. Whichever group is the sun/moon, it works. Kanji masculine sun, Gana feminine moon. Or Gana bright and happy sun, Kanji dim and mysterious moon. The sun/moon duality is a classic image to work with. By the way, someone commented how stylish the way they did the shirt pocket is:

Heard Fortune's payment system after an upgrade is blocking people from making payments, which give us the shocking result of only Naako selling out

The other day Fortune also bugged out and making it able for people to see user personal information, and only give 500 yen compensation to those affected lol

Love the flag, would have like the shirt better if it was similar, without the pocket though.. I'm not that stylish it seems [hehe]
As for the penlight, someone said it's similar to Nogi's... but surely those things are becoming more similar to kpop's ones.... personally I like the simpler style better... but at this point I think my taste is just anachronistic lol

The concept is still the same, sun/moon, Yin and Yang and it's just perfect for keyaki.
Can't wait for the single :chuffed:

They'll reach the million whatever the song is and especially if it's a Double-A side single, with the success of Hiragana recently. With Techi come back + Kanji tour this summer it should be a massive hit :).

I can't wait, we still don't have the title yet ?! come oooon.
