Wow you are good at digging. So you beat me to it that time.

It's not limited to fire stations. I have seen it at public offices including city hall, etc. To be honest, if you live in Japan you are bound to see it at least once by now.

So AKB Kouhaku has been announced to be on Dec 16.
I am pretty sure that this is why Mako's Korean Fanmeeting, originally scheduled on Dec 17, is postponed. Sun Music must haven't check with AKS on upcoming unscheduled events.
Now, if Mako role is similar to last year (which is literally only on song she was senbatsu in), I will be really pissed.

I have seen them both way and I think either is fine. But most of the time, yes I think Mako is boke and Juri is tsukkomi.
