Been dreading this for a while, but I'm still kinda glad to have a date finally. Hoping to go to Japan for this concert, and it'll be my first time seeing AKB48 live, so it's a bit of a shame that it'll be small scale

I just realized this is on a Tuesday and a Wednesday.

    :fp:

I guess that adds to the reasons as to why they chose this venue and not a bigger one.

As I will be in Japan on this date I'll definitely be applying for a ticket. :)

Glad it has been announced though; I'm sure she's glad too.

I am not sure this will be her last event because there was some mention of theater performances, which often come after any concert. For example, Takamina's last theater performance was April 8, while her graduation concert was March 27.

Her last HS will probably be much earlier than that.
Probably one related to High Tension, since the 47th single won't come out until end of February or March and she'll be gone by then.

Also bringing this discussion here cause I don't want to bother her thread with venue talk lol

Saitama is kinda (very) far away from Yoyogi, so... no, it has nothing to do with her hometown.

A quick Google search doesn't show concerts between Feb 5th and March 20th, but it might be used for something else.

I imagine this will be an AKB-only concert, so I'm more prone to believe they know they wouldn't sell out SSA (37k is a lot of people) and went for something smaller. But it makes me wonder why they didn't try to book Budokan, which is a venue with much more AKB history (elections, janken tournaments, etc.).
Are they so insecure that they don't think they can sell that one out either?

I understand ditching it for the Kobe Hall because janken doesn't matter much anymore, but for a 1st gen graduating here seems a bit "small".

    Unless they're hinting at something.

Wow. No Graduation song/single? NO farewell center goodbye? I mean High Tension is being promoted as Parruru's last single, right?

@Trinu Maybe Kojiharu just really wanted to graduate on February 22nd, Nyan Nyan Nyan Day in Japan, and Yoyogi Stadium was the only concert venue available in the Greater Tokyo area on that particular day.

Wasn't her showroom on 10/22 at 22:22? I think @sgtbubba has the right idea.

Yes, that was announced with the venue.
But I'm sure there were bigger places available, I'm just wondering about the choice and if we're done with the era of AKB doing big-ass concerts.

Last day of the concert falls on a Wednesday. It should be the release date of the next single because it's too good to miss it.

Nyan Nyan day is a perfect choice TTwTT For now, I'm just glad that something is certain. Sure, February might be too soon, but she did announce it back in June, and she did say she wouldn't drag it out like Takamina was forced to. It's a shame that she probably won't get a farewell center single if we take timing into account, but she chose what was more meaningful for her. Still, High Tension is still not out for a few weeks so they could just announce the 47th single earlier than usual. Figers crossed.

I'd say it's pretty likely she'll center the same single, there is a big gap between High Tension's release and the concert, and it's not unheard of for AKB to release a single in February

She should have bigger places, like she said she wanted to graduate in Saitama,so why she shose yoyogi,it's kinda frustating me
I do really like her a lot, that's why i started follow akb48 two years ago,,,

    Obviously not undeard.
But since they changed the schedule with Kibouteki Refrain all the "sakura singles" have been released in March.

I don't know if AKB can afford to have two singles in a row centered by girls who are leaving.
Heck, I'm not even sure if she should be in senbatsu. :^^;:

Hopefully she'll decline whatever they offer her in AKB and just ask for a final single for no3b.
That way both groups can promote together (and they have their excuse to bring back Takamina...) and be done with it. :chuffed:

How many people can Yoyogi National Stadium have?

Really doubt a no3b single will happen. They're the only sub unit that haven't disbanded after one of their members graduated. They just seem to like each other company so they're probably satisfied with just having their weekly radio.

I don't mind if she does center a single. Paruru was allowed to center her last single... Sayanee and Jurnia are almost always the center in their own group even when they're not graduating.
